About VfB Stuttgart
VfB Stuttgart is a professional football club based in Stuttgart, Germany. The club was founded in 1893, making them one of the oldest teams in the country. VfB began playing in the Bundesliga, the top tier of German football, in 1963. Nicknamed ‘Die Roten’, the club’s signature colours are red and white.
VfB is the largest sports club in Baden-Württemberg, and the eighth-largest football club in Germany. It also has departments for field hockey, fistball, table tennis, track and field, and football referees (all of which compete only at amateur level).

VfB Stuttgart has won the national championship five times (most recently in 2006-07), the DFB-Pokal three times, and the UEFA Intertoto Cup a record number of three times. They were also runners-up of the UEFA Cup in 1988-89 and the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1997-98.
The club's junior teams have won the national U19 championships a record ten times, and the U17 Bundesliga six times.

VfB have had a long city rivalry with Stuttgarter Kickers, however the two teams haven't played each other in quite some time due to being in different divisions.
