Stadium Information

Inter Milan play their home games at Stadio Giuseppe Meazza, commonly known as San Siro stadium. The ground is based in the San Siro district of Milan and is home to both Inter Milan and A.C Milan. San Siro has a capacity of 80,018, making it the largest stadium in Italy and one of the largest stadiums in all of Europe.

San Siro is a UEFA category four stadium and has hosted FIFA World Cup games as well as European Cup finals. The stadium always promises a terrific atmosphere for spectators, and is a must-see for tourists.

Team Information

Inter Milan has had many great players throughout its history, including Giuseppe Meazza, who the club's stadium is named after. Meazza is widely considered the greatest player in Inter Milan's history. He played for the club from 1927 to 1940, and again from 1946 to 1947, scoring 242 goals in 365 appearances. He won the Coppa Italia and three Serie A titles with the club.

Another legendary player is Italian striker, Javier Zanetti who played for the club from 1995 to 2014. Zanetti is widely regarded as one of the best players of his generation, and is well-known for his role in Inter Milan's treble-winning 2009-10 season. 

Other noteworthy players include Ronaldo, who played for the club from 1997 until 2002 and made a huge impact during his time there. Ronaldo has been one of the most influential players of his generation, and was named FIFA World Player of the Year three times. 

Rivalries

Inter Milan have several rivals, including AC Milan, with whom they oppose in the Derby della Madonnina. The name of the derby refers to the Blessed Virgin Mary, whose statue is at the top of Milan Cathedral. The rivalry has existed since 1908 when Inter Milan splintered off from AC Milan, and the derby is one of the most followed in football. 

Inter Milan also have a rivalry with Juventus, who they play against in the Derby d'Italia. The two clubs were the only Italian clubs never to have played below Serie A until the 2006 Italian football scandal, which saw Juventus be relegated. Other clubs such as Roma, Atalanta and Napoli are also considered rivals.
