Hull City Membership: What You Need to Know

Hull City Membership is very different from the membership schemes offered by most Premier League clubs.

Rather than paying a relatively small annual fee for priority access to Premier League tickets, Hull supporters subscribe to the club’s equivalent of a season ticket.

A Hull City Member receives a fixed seat at the MKM Stadium for every home league match. The cost can be divided into 12 monthly Direct Debit payments, including payments made during the close season, and the arrangement normally continues until the supporter cancels it correctly.

For 2026/27, Hull have sold all 19,000 Memberships following promotion to the Premier League, meaning Tigers fans without one must rely on match-by-match tickets, the waiting list, the new Ticket Exchange, hospitality or other ticketing routes like Ticket-Compare.com.

What Is Hull City Membership?

Hull City Membership is effectively a season ticket sold through a continuing subscription.

For the 2026/27 Premier League season, it includes:

A fixed seat at the MKM Stadium
Admission to all 19 home league matches
Priority access to home EFL and FA Cup tickets
Priority access to away tickets
Opportunities to attend selected Member events
Monthly or annual payment options

So we shouldn’t confuse it with a conventional club membership that simply unlocks a ticket sales window or ballot.

Hull introduced the current concept in 2016, when conventional season tickets were replaced by the Earn Your Stripes Season Membership system.

The original structure was more complicated and controversial, particularly around seating zones and concessions, but its central principle remains: Hull City Members are, in practical terms, the club’s season-ticket holders.

Hull City Membership Prices for 2026/27

Hull City Membership prices depend on the supporter’s age and the zone containing their seat.

The Concession price applies to young adults aged 16 to 22 and seniors aged 65 or over. Junior Membership costs $11 per month in every seating zone.

There is no advertised financial discount for paying annually. Each annual price is exactly 12 times the equivalent monthly charge, so monthly payment helps with cash flow rather than reducing the overall cost.

Dividing the annual price by Hull’s 19 Premier League home matches produces the following effective cost per game:

How much did prices increase?

Adult prices rose by between 10% and 19% for 2026/27. The largest adult increase was in Zone 3, where the monthly price moved from $57 to $67.

The changes were more dramatic for some younger supporters. Hull combined the previous young-adult and senior bands into one Concession category, doubling the monthly price for supporters aged 16 to 22:

Membership for children previously aged 2 to 10 also doubled from $5 to $11 per month. The price for those previously in the 11 to 15 band rose from $7 to $11.

Hull attributed the wider increases to rising operating costs, financial-sustainability requirements and the need to grow football revenue. Even after the increases, the $534 annual Zone 1 adult price represents relatively low-cost access to a full Premier League home campaign.

What Does Hull City Membership Include?

The main entitlement is straightforward: the Member can attend every home league match from the same allocated seat.

Membership also gives the supporter priority opportunities to buy tickets that are not part of the package. These can include:

Home FA Cup and EFL Cup matches
Away league and cup matches
Play-off matches or finals
Selected additional club events

Hull has also organised experiences such as open training sessions, player autograph events, stadium tours, footgolf, cinema events and evenings involving former players or memorable teams.

These activities support the club’s claim that Membership covers more than the 90 minutes of a match. They should still be viewed as extras. Capacity can be limited, advance booking may be required and the programme can change from season to season.

A standard Membership does not include away tickets, cup admission, hospitality, travel, food, drink or merchandise.

How Does the Monthly Subscription Work?

The word monthly describes the payment schedule, not the length of the commitment.

A new Hull City Membership ordinarily has a minimum period of 12 months. The annual charge is divided into 12 payments, which means Direct Debits continue during June and other months when there may be no competitive home football.

For an adult, the real annual commitment is therefore:

$664 in Zone 2
$809 in Zone 3

After the initial minimum period, the subscription normally continues until it is cancelled with the required notice. Existing Members do not usually need to renew a completely separate product each summer.

This reverses the process familiar to many season-ticket holders elsewhere. A conventional season ticket normally expires unless the supporter renews it; Hull City Membership normally continues unless the supporter cancels it.

Can you cancel Hull City Membership?

Supporters must follow the club’s formal cancellation process. Simply stopping the Direct Debit should not be treated as valid cancellation of the underlying agreement.

Ahead of the 2026/27 price change, Members who wished to leave had to contact the club by 22 May so that their agreement could finish on 30 June. This reflected a requirement for two full months’ notice.

Members should retain their original agreement, price-change correspondence and written cancellation confirmation. Missing matches, promotion, relegation or changes to the fixture schedule do not automatically end the subscription.

Where Are Hull City’s Membership Zones?

Zones 1, 2 and 3 determine the price and location of the seat. They do not represent three different packages of benefits.

In broad terms:

Zone 1 includes many of the least expensive seats, including substantial parts of the North Stand and Family Stand.
Zone 2 covers a mixture of upper, outer and less centrally positioned seating.
Zone 3 contains many of the more central seats in the West Stand and Chris Chilton Stand.

The boundaries do not correspond perfectly with entire stands. Two supporters sitting on the same side of the stadium may pay different prices because their blocks belong to different zones.

The modern zone names should not be confused with Hull’s original One Stripe, Two Stripe and Three Stripe products. Those early packages carried different features, whereas today’s zones primarily determine seat location and price.

How Were New Memberships Allocated for 2026/27?

New Memberships did not go on unrestricted general sale after Hull’s promotion.

The club instead used attendance at 2025/26 home league matches to create five priority stages:

Eligibility was attached to the ticketing account used for those purchases. Supporters could not move another person’s attendance history onto a newly created account.

The number of Memberships an eligible account could purchase was also linked to its average number of tickets bought per home match. This prevented somebody who had once placed a large group order from automatically buying the same number of Memberships for people without comparable attendance histories.

The system rewarded supporters who had attended home matches during the promotion campaign.

Some regular away followers felt it placed too little weight on away attendance and loyalty points, although others considered home attendance a logical criterion for allocating a product covering home games.

Are Hull City Memberships Sold Out?

Yes. Hull announced on 16 July 2026 that the club had reached its Membership capacity of 19,000.

Approximately 3,000 tickets have been retained for match-by-match sales rather than placing almost every home seat into the Membership scheme.

These tickets are likely to be heavily contested, especially for matches against leading clubs and fixtures scheduled at convenient times.

How does the waiting list work?

Hull opened a waiting list on 20 July, but it is not available to every new applicant.

To join, a supporter must have had a Hull City ticketing account registered on or before 16 July 2026, the date the Membership sellout was announced. The Ticket Office will contact eligible applicants if seats become available, but joining the list does not guarantee an offer.

At the time of writing, Hull had not publicly confirmed whether applicants would be ordered by registration date, previous attendance, loyalty points or another criterion. It was also unclear whether an applicant could reject an available zone without losing their position.

Does Membership Help With Away and Cup Tickets?

Membership is valuable for away and cup access, but it does not include those tickets.

For an ordinary away match, Members usually receive the first opportunity to buy before any wider sales phase. For an oversubscribed fixture, Hull can place a loyalty-points threshold inside the Members’ window.

A new Member may therefore have the necessary status to enter the sale but still lack the historical points required for the most popular Premier League away trips. Membership should be viewed as an important advantage, not a guarantee.

Home cup matches are also sold separately. Members normally receive priority, although their regular seat may occasionally be unavailable because of competition rules, visiting allocations, segregation requirements or the decision to open only selected stands.

What Is the Hull City Ticket Exchange?

Hull has announced a new club Ticket Exchange for 2026/27. It will allow a Member who cannot attend a match to release their seat so another eligible Hull supporter can buy it.

This should increase availability for sold-out fixtures and may reduce the financial impact of missing matches because of work commitments or television rescheduling.

Full operating rules had not been published by 5 August 2026. It was therefore unclear:

Whether a match must sell out before the Exchange opens
Whether the Member receives cash, credit or a future rebate
Whether compensation is paid only when the seat resells
Whether the club will deduct an administrative charge
Whether a listed seat can be withdrawn
Whether every league match will be eligible
Which purchase-history restrictions will apply to buyers

Until these terms are confirmed, Members should not assume that releasing a seat will automatically produce a refund.

Is Hull City Membership Worth It?

For somebody who intends to attend most home matches, Membership offers strong value as well as certainty.

The cheapest adult Membership costs $534 annually. Buying 19 individual tickets at Hull’s advertised starting price of $40 would cost $769, producing a theoretical difference of $235.

At that minimum match-ticket price, Zone 1 adult Membership becomes cheaper once the supporter attends a 14th home match.

This is not a perfect like-for-like comparison. Individual prices can vary by fixture and location, booking fees may apply, the same seat may not be available every week and major matches can sell out.

Certainty may consequently be more valuable than the headline saving. A Member does not need to enter a separate sale for each home league fixture and knows where they will sit throughout the campaign.

The junior price is particularly competitive for families attending regularly. Junior Membership costs $129 annually, compared with $205 for 19 individual tickets at the advertised $11 starting price.

The main drawbacks are the year-round commitment and limited flexibility. A supporter still pays when unable to attend, and the Ticket Exchange cannot be treated as a guaranteed way to recover that cost until its terms are published.

Buying Hull City Tickets Without Membership

Supporters without Membership can still look for the approximately 3,000 tickets retained for match-by-match sale. Availability will depend on the fixture, and the opening home match against Manchester United demonstrated how quickly high-demand games can sell out.

The Ticket Exchange may create further official availability when Members release seats. Hospitality is another potential route, although it should be compared separately from ordinary admission because packages can include lounges, dining, padded seating or other premium elements.

The difficulty facing an occasional visitor is reflected in questions regularly posted by people trying to attend English football without an established ticketing history. The following post represents one individual tourist’s question rather than evidence about Hull’s specific rules:

For Hull matches, the practical issue is that Membership is sold out, the waiting list is restricted and the remaining official inventory is relatively small. With all 19,000 Memberships sold, the immediate challenge now belongs to non-Members. They must compete for limited match tickets, wait for official Exchange seats or compare hospitality and resale availability when the club’s own allocation cannot meet demand.
