The club has won eight league titles, five Coupe de France trophies, and one Coupe de la Ligue. AS Monaco is among one of the best teams in European football, and were runners-up in the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup in 1992 and the UEFA Champions League in 2004.

Rivalries

AS Monaco has a rivalry with fellow Ligue 1 team, OGC Nice, with whom they oppose in the Derby de la Côte d'Azur. The name comes from the fact that both Monaco and Nice are the only two major clubs in France that are located on or near the Côte d'Azur (known in English as the French Riviera). Games between the two clubs are always exciting to watch, and promise a special atmosphere when they take place.
