Best Hellotickets Alternatives for Sports and Event Tickets

Written by Aviran Zazon

Hellotickets covers an unusually wide range of live events. You can use the same site to search for Premier League or Formula 1 tickets, an NBA game, a Broadway show or a major concert, before moving on to tours and attractions in the city you are visiting.

That breadth means the best Hellotickets alternatives are not necessarily the biggest football resale sites.

StubHub International is our strongest overall alternative, while Fanatix, Gigsberg, Ticombo, Vivid Seats and SportsEvents365 each make more sense for particular types of buyer.

Every site in our main six has also been featured on Ticket-Compare.com, allowing us to draw on our own assessments of their websites, customer service, ticket selection and buying processes.

There is no exact replacement for everything Hellotickets does. Its combination of event tickets, attractions and destination content remains unusual. If your priority is the ticket itself, though, several alternatives come remarkably close.

How We Chose the Best Hellotickets Alternatives

We assessed the alternatives according to five things: the range of events available, international coverage, the buying interface, customer service and the protection available in the rare case something should go wrong on the seller’s end.

That deliberately rules out some excellent specialist sellers. A football-only website may be a better choice for Premier League tickets for a particular match, for example, without being a particularly close Hellotickets alternative.

Hellotickets currently stretches from football, Formula 1, tennis and US sport to concerts, Broadway and London theatre, so the closest competitors need comparable variety.

Price is also difficult to rank permanently because ticket inventories and resale prices constantly change. Where Ticket-Compare.com has measured service charges during test purchases, those figures are useful snapshots rather than permanent fee schedules.

1. StubHub International: Best Overall Hellotickets Alternative

StubHub International is the closest overall replacement for Hellotickets if your main priority is live-event tickets.

Its catalogue stretches well beyond football, covering concerts, theatre and comedy alongside rugby, cricket, tennis, motorsport, golf, darts and numerous other sports. That gives it the breadth required for someone who wants one ticket site for several different types of event.

The buying interface is another strength. Ticket-Compare.com's hands-on test found clear stadium plans, good information about seat groupings and plenty of control over ticket selection. Buyers can also display prices including fees, while PayPal is supported.

StubHub's FanProtect Guarantee adds an important layer of protection. Buyers are promised tickets delivered in time, valid for entry and the same as or comparable to the tickets ordered. If those conditions are not met, StubHub International can seek comparable or better replacements or offer a refund or credit. Permanently cancelled events are also covered.

What it cannot reproduce is the other half of Hellotickets. StubHub can get you into a match or concert, but it is not trying to organise the museum visit or walking tour the following morning.

Best for: Buyers who want the broadest all-round Hellotickets substitute for live events.

2. Fanatix: Best for European Sports and Events

Fanatix is particularly well suited to buyers whose Hellotickets searches tend to revolve around European football, Formula 1, tennis, rugby and concerts.

Its event range has widened considerably, extending into basketball, American football and darts as well as its stronger European categories. More importantly, its website compares favourably with Hellotickets.

In Ticket-Compare.com's test, Fanatix was one of the cleanest and most intuitive ticket sites we had used. Interactive venue maps make seating easier to understand, listing information is clear and buyers do not have to create an account simply to complete checkout. PayPal is available too. Customer service was especially impressive. When Ticket-Compare.com sent a test query, Fanatix returned a substantive response in under ten minutes.

Its cancellation terms deserve a little more explanation. For an event that is permanently cancelled, the ticket purchase price is returned to the original payment method. The service fee is instead returned as a voucher valid for two years. If tickets are not received in time for an event, its current terms state that a full refund will be issued.

Best for: European football, motorsport, tennis and concert buyers who value a particularly simple interface.

3. Gigsberg: Best for Concerts and Live Entertainment

Gigsberg may be the most natural alternative for someone who uses Hellotickets as much for music and entertainment as for sport.

The marketplace covers live music, festivals, theatre and sport, with its sporting inventory including European football, Formula 1 tickets, rugby, tennis, darts and American football.

Its individual event pages are a strong point. Quantity and seating-category filters work alongside detailed venue plans, while buyers can see information about mobile or electronic ticket delivery and identify relevant sections of the venue as they browse listings.

Customer support also performed extremely well in Ticket-Compare.com's testing. A query received a reply in seven minutes, while Gigsberg prominently offers support through online channels including messaging.

Its current guarantee promises money back if an event is cancelled and not rescheduled, as well as protection around receiving tickets safely and on time. Where a seller cannot supply the purchased tickets, Gigsberg's terms can allow for replacement tickets or a refund.

Hellotickets still has the edge for the wider holiday around the event. For the actual combination of sport, concerts and entertainment tickets, Gigsberg is one of the closest matches in this list.

Best for: Concert-goers who also want access to major sporting events.

4. Ticombo: Best for Customer Support and Buyer Information

Ticombo approaches the market slightly differently from Hellotickets because organisers, professional resellers and private individuals can all sell through its marketplace.

That creates one of its most useful features, as there’s a relatively high level of information about the seller behind a listing.

Ticket-Compare.com found seller ratings, reviews and Tickets in Possession indicators particularly helpful once we reached an individual event page. The weaker part came before that point, with homepage and sports navigation that felt comparatively cumbersome, particularly on mobile. Customer support is where Ticombo stands out.

The company advertises 24-hour service and lists numerous international telephone lines, including a UK number. Ticket-Compare.com's own test produced a detailed human response in around half an hour.

Its TixProtect programme covers some of the most important buyer problems. Ticombo currently states that buyers remain eligible for a 100% refund if tickets are not delivered on time, differ from those ordered, are rejected at the entrance or the event is permanently cancelled. Additional protection levels can cover a wider set of circumstances.

There is a price for some of that infrastructure.

Ticket-Compare.com measured a service charge of just under 30% during its test, although that should be treated as an example transaction rather than a fixed charge on every order.

Best for: Buyers who put seller information, accessible support and clearly explained protection high on their list.

5. Vivid Seats: Best for US Sports and Events

If you are buying tickets in North America, Vivid Seats arguably matches Hellotickets more closely than its position at number five suggests.

Its strength is the sheer range of US entertainment. The site brings together tickets for major concerts and theatre with the NBA, NFL, MLB, NHL, college sport and other events, supported by polished venue maps and a straightforward checkout.

Ticket-Compare.com rated the interface and support particularly highly. The reason it sits below StubHub International, Fanatix and Gigsberg in this ranking is geography. Vivid Seats remains much more naturally oriented towards a North American customer.

During Ticket-Compare.com testing, European football was less prominent in the navigation and inventory could be thinner than on more European-focused marketplaces. Currency handling may also be something for UK buyers to watch at checkout.

Its Buyer Guarantee covers timely delivery and valid, authentic tickets, with tickets also expected to be identical, comparable or better than those ordered. Officially cancelled events are eligible for compensation under its terms.

Best for: NBA tickets, NFL, MLB, NHL, college sport, US concerts and theatre.

6. SportsEvents365: Best for an Overseas Event Trip

SportsEvents365 makes this list for a different reason. Its website does not feel as polished as Hellotickets, and the purchasing experience is closer to a traditional international ticket broker than the newer marketplace interfaces elsewhere in this ranking. Yet its relationship with the travel industry makes it unusually relevant to the Hellotickets audience.

SportsEvents365 sells football, basketball, tennis, rugby, baseball, ice hockey, American football, motorsport and concert tickets across dozens of countries. It also works extensively with travel professionals, which gives it an obvious overlap with buyers planning a foreign trip around a match or event.

There is a much more personal element to its service. SportsEvents365 says each order is handled by a sales representative, while customers can contact support by telephone, email, chat or WhatsApp. An emergency hotline is available for urgent event-related problems.

The company also promotes its Supply Guarantee across current event pages.

It does not suddenly become a direct replacement for Hellotickets' tours and attractions catalogue. What it does offer is probably the closest match here for the traveller whose event ticket forms part of a larger overseas trip.

Best for: International visitors who value personal support when arranging tickets abroad.

What if You Only Want Football Tickets?

The ranking changes if your only concern is football. A specialist such as LiveFootballTickets can make much more sense for a buyer interested exclusively in Premier League, Champions League tickets or other major football tickets.

It has not made our main six because the comparison here is specifically with Hellotickets, whose range extends far beyond football.

The best ticket site for one Manchester United match does not automatically become the closest alternative to a platform covering NFL, NBA, Formula 1, Broadway, concerts and sightseeing. For a football-only search, it therefore makes sense to compare specialist sellers as well as the broader marketplaces above.

Compare Hellotickets Alternatives in One Place

Another option is to compare several providers before deciding which one to use. Ticket-Compare.com is a ticket comparison platform rather than a ticket seller.

It brings together listings from pre-vetted resale sites and official ticketing partners where applicable, allowing buyers to see prices and availability from several sources without opening each marketplace individually.

Filters can then narrow the results by factors such as ticket quantity, seller, seating area, price and whether seats are together, while interactive stadium plans are available for many events. Once you select a ticket, you click through and buy it from the relevant provider. The seller therefore remains responsible for the transaction, delivery and buyer guarantee.

In truth there is no universally best Hellotickets alternative. StubHub may have the strongest overall proposition, Fanatix may suit a European event better and another provider may simply have the preferable seats or price for the particular event you want.

Best Hellotickets Alternatives | FAQs

What is the best alternative to Hellotickets?

StubHub International is our best overall Hellotickets alternative. It combines a very broad range of sport, music, theatre and entertainment with strong venue maps, extensive ticket inventory and the FanProtect Guarantee. Hellotickets remains more useful for combining an event with sightseeing, tours and attractions.

Which Hellotickets alternative is best for European football?

Fanatix is particularly strong for European buyers because football sits alongside Formula 1, tennis, rugby tickets, concerts and other events within a clean interface.

StubHub International is another major option. Football-only buyers should also compare specialist football sellers, which were excluded from the main ranking because they are not close equivalents to Hellotickets as a whole.

Which Hellotickets alternative is best for concerts?

Gigsberg is our strongest concert-focused alternative because music, festivals and other live entertainment form a major part of its marketplace rather than being secondary additions to a sports business. It still has substantial sporting coverage, including football, Formula 1, rugby, tennis and American football.

Which alternative has the best customer service?

There are several strong candidates. Gigsberg answered Ticket-Compare.com's test query in seven minutes and Fanatix replied in under ten. Ticombo took around half an hour but offers an unusually wide range of support channels, including international phone numbers. We favour Ticombo for overall support infrastructure rather than response speed alone.

What happens if my event is cancelled?

Policies differ between sellers. StubHub International's FanProtect covers events cancelled without rescheduling, while Gigsberg and Ticombo also offer cancellation protection. Fanatix returns the ticket price to the original payment method after permanent cancellation, with its service fee returned as a two-year voucher. Always check the precise current terms before paying.

Is Ticket-Compare.com the same type of site as Hellotickets?

No. Hellotickets is a marketplace and can also distribute certain services itself. Ticket-Compare.com is a comparison platform. It displays listings from selected ticket providers and sends the buyer to the chosen provider to complete the purchase rather than becoming the company selling or fulfilling the ticket itself.

Which Hellotickets alternative is best for tourists?

SportsEvents365 comes closest to the international traveller side of Hellotickets because it has longstanding connections with the travel industry and combines international event coverage with personal support. It is not an exact substitute, however—Hellotickets has a much broader catalogue of sightseeing tours, attractions and destination activities.

Which Hellotickets Alternative Is Best for You?

For the closest all-round alternative, StubHub International takes first place. It has the event breadth, international reach, buying tools and buyer protection required to compete with the ticketing side of Hellotickets.

The best choice becomes more specialised from there. Fanatix is particularly compelling for European sport, Gigsberg for concerts and entertainment, Ticombo for support and seller information, Vivid Seats for North America and SportsEvents365 for international event trips.

What none of them quite reproduces is Hellotickets' combination of live events and general tourism.

That makes the event itself the best place to start. Decide what you are buying, where you need to sit and what level of protection matters to you, then compare the inventory actually available.

Ticket-Compare.com can help with that final step by compiling listings from different providers into the same comparison rather than requiring you to sift through each marketplace separately.
