Best Vivid Seats Alternatives for Sports and Event Tickets
Written by Aviran Zazon
StubHub International is the closest overall alternative to Vivid Seats, offering the same kind of broad marketplace across sport, concerts and other live events.
For European football, LiveFootballTickets is a more specialised option, meanwhile Fanatix stands out for concerts, Formula 1 and tennis.
There is no single provider that beats Vivid Seats in every area. In our own Vivid Seats review, we found remarkably competitive underlying ticket prices and a smooth buying experience, yet European football inventory was relatively thin and the service charge in our test came to 34.3% of the advertised ticket price.
So, if you’re looking for alternatives, we’ll assess the competition here.
Best Vivid Seats Alternatives Compared
| Alternative | Best for | Main reason to consider it |
|---|---|---|
| StubHub International | Best overall alternative | Broad marketplace with strong UK, European and international coverage |
| Fanatix | Concerts, Formula 1 and tennis | Wide European event mix and lower fees in our tested checkout |
| LiveFootballTickets | Football | Dedicated football marketplace with extensive European and international coverage |
| Hellotickets | Events during city breaks | Combines event tickets with tours, attractions and other travel activities |
| SportsEvents365 | International event trips | European focus and longstanding links with the travel industry |
| Football Ticket Pad | Another football option | Football-only marketplace with paired-seat options |
| LiveRugbyTickets | Rugby | Dedicated inventory for major international and club rugby |
We assessed these alternatives using five broad considerations:
- Event breadth
- Geographical fit
- Specialist strength
- Ticket-Compare.com’s own testing
- External customer feedback
Trustpilot is a handy metric for us, but only when we take the size of the review sample into account.
We have deliberately left official hospitality agents such as P1 Travel and Seat Loader, also featured on Ticket-Compare.com, outside the ranking.
They can provide another way into major events, but official hospitality and allocated ticket packages are fundamentally different from the open resale marketplaces compared here.
Why Look for an Alternative to Vivid Seats?
Vivid Seats is particularly strong in North America, where its enormous catalogue spans professional and college sport, concerts and entertainment. Its European football offering is much less prominent.
When we tested Vivid Seats for a Barcelona fixture, reaching European football meant navigating through the site's Soccer section after its North American competitions. There were 23 listings for our chosen match.
The cheapest shortside ticket cost $55, compared with $68 at Football Experience and $89 for a comparable location at LiveFootballTickets, so Vivid was actually the cheapest of the three before fees.
The compromises appeared later. Although prices were displayed in pounds, our purchase was ultimately billed in US dollars, while the service charge added $19 to a $55 ticket, or around 34.3%.
An additional email-delivery charge also applied. We found the same service-fee percentage on several other Barcelona listings, although Vivid Seats fees fluctuate and 34.3% should not be treated as a universal rate.
That creates several perfectly reasonable reasons to compare alternatives: a larger choice of European football seats, a site built more naturally around a particular sport, different checkout fees or a marketplace more closely geared towards European event travel.
Broad Alternatives to Vivid Seats
StubHub International
StubHub International is our best overall Vivid Seats alternative because the two platforms have the most obvious functional overlap.
StubHub International covers football, other sports, concerts and live entertainment, while its UK and European operation makes it a natural option for buyers outside Vivid Seats' North American heartland.
Current Ticket-Compare.com event pages continue to show StubHub inventory across events such as the US Open alongside other broad marketplaces.
Our StubHub test found detailed venue plans, straightforward grouping information and, importantly, a filter allowing buyers to display prices with fees included.
We’re not saying StubHub will always produce the lowest final total, but it does make a like-for-like comparison easier.
Something worth keeping in mind is StubHub International is separate from StubHub's North American operation. It is owned by Digital Fuel Capital and operates independently from the North American business.
Fanatix
Fanatix may be the strongest all-round alternative for someone primarily interested in European events.
Its marketplace covers concerts and sport, with particularly prominent Formula 1 and tennis sections alongside football. Ticket-Compare.com currently displays Fanatix inventory for both football and major tennis events, including the 2026 US Open.
There is also an interesting fee comparison. Our Fanatix review found service charges of about 20%, compared with 34.3% during our Vivid Seats Barcelona checks.
These are observations from separate transactions rather than fixed fee schedules, but Fanatix produced the lower additional charge in our testing.
Hellotickets
Hellotickets occupies a different part of the market. Alongside sport and concert tickets, the platform sells tours, attractions and other activities, making it especially useful when an event is one part of a city break.
Our testing found competitive event pricing, PayPal payment and clearly presented venue maps. For the Barcelona purchase we examined, the service fee came to approximately 19.5%, although further checks found percentages ranging from the high teens into the high 20s depending on the event.
Someone travelling to Madrid, London, Rome or New York and also booking attractions may therefore find Hellotickets more naturally suited to the overall trip than Vivid Seats.
SportsEvents365
SportsEvents365 is another alternative built with international travellers in mind.
Founded in 2006, the European ticket broker works with travel agents and assigns a sales agent to each order. Its catalogue covers sporting and entertainment events worldwide, with an emphasis on customers travelling internationally.
The trade-off is that its website is less polished than many newer marketplaces, PayPal is not available and our review found that prices were not necessarily the cheapest. Its strength is the extra travel-oriented support rather than slick marketplace design.
Specialist Vivid Seats Alternatives
LiveFootballTickets
For European and international football, LiveFootballTickets is the strongest specialist alternative on this list.
Instead of placing football inside a huge general catalogue, the entire marketplace is built around the sport. That means extensive Premier League, European club and international inventory, alongside football-specific information about stadium areas and seat groupings.
Ticket-Compare.com has worked with LiveFootballTickets for many years, and our hands-on test awarded 5/5 for ticket price, matchday experience and support, with 4/5 for ease of use.
Vivid Seats can still win an individual price comparison, as our Barcelona test demonstrated. LiveFootballTickets' advantage is specialisation and breadth rather than a guarantee of a cheaper ticket.
Football Ticket Pad
Football Ticket Pad gives football buyers another specialist marketplace to compare.
It operates exclusively in football, with an active marketplace and an emphasis on seats supplied in pairs. Ticket-Compare.com has partnered with Football Ticket Pad since 2017.
Our own review also notes higher-than-expected fees, so the case for choosing it over Vivid Seats is about football-specific inventory and seating options rather than presenting it as a low-fee alternative.
LiveRugbyTickets
LiveRugbyTickets performs a similar role for rugby.
Rather than searching a general sports catalogue, buyers can browse a marketplace organised around competitions such as the Six Nations, Nations Championship and other major rugby fixtures.
Ticket-Compare.com is currently displaying LiveRugbyTickets inventory for events including France vs Fiji in the 2026 Nations Championship.
For a dedicated rugby buyer, that specialisation can make it a more practical starting point than Vivid Seats.
Best Vivid Seats Alternative by Event Type
| What you're buying | Alternatives to compare first |
| Football | LiveFootballTickets, Football Ticket Pad |
| Concerts | StubHub International, Fanatix |
| Formula 1 | Fanatix, SportsEvents365 |
| Tennis | StubHub International, Fanatix |
| Rugby | LiveRugbyTickets |
| Overseas event trip | SportsEvents365 |
| Event during a city break | Hellotickets |
These are starting points rather than guarantees of the greatest availability or lowest price. Inventory on resale marketplaces changes continually as sellers add, remove and reprice tickets.
How Do Vivid Seats Alternatives Compare on Trustpilot?
Trustpilot offers another useful comparison, provided the number of reviews sits alongside the score.
As of 12 August 2026:
| Marketplace | Trustpilot score | Approx. number of reviews |
|---|---|---|
| Vivid Seats | 4.3/5 | 115,000 |
| LiveFootballTickets | 4.7/5 | 21,000 |
| Football Ticket Pad | 4.5/5 | 1,100 |
| Fanatix | 4.5/5 | 57 |
| Hellotickets | 4.3/5 | 4,400 |
| SportsEvents365 | 4.0/5 | 750 |
| StubHub International | 3.9/5 | 5,000 |
| LiveRugbyTickets | 4.7/5 | 338 |
Vivid Seats' roughly 115,000 reviews make its rating a much larger evidence base than most competitors. LiveFootballTickets also combines a high score with substantial volume, while Fanatix and LiveRugbyTickets have excellent headline ratings based on much smaller samples.
Trustpilot therefore contributes to our judgement; it does not determine the ranking by itself.
How to Compare Vivid Seats Alternatives With Ticket-Compare.com
No resale marketplace has the cheapest ticket, greatest inventory and ideal seating choice for every event.
Ticket-Compare.com is a comparison platform compiling listings from pre-vetted secondary marketplaces and, where relevant, official ticketing and hospitality partners, allowing buyers to compare several options without opening each provider individually. The buyer then clicks through to the relevant seller to complete the transaction.
That is particularly useful with marketplaces such as Vivid Seats because the cheapest provider can change according to the event, stadium area, number of seats required and moment at which you search.
Vivid Seats Alternatives | Frequently Asked Questions
What is the closest alternative to Vivid Seats?
StubHub International is the closest overall alternative for UK and European customers. Both are broad marketplaces covering sport, concerts and entertainment rather than specialising in one sport.
What is the best Vivid Seats alternative for football?
LiveFootballTickets is our leading specialist alternative for football because its entire marketplace is dedicated to the sport. Football Ticket Pad is another football-only option worth comparing, while StubHub International and Fanatix provide football inventory alongside wider event catalogues.
What is the best Vivid Seats alternative for concerts?
StubHub International and Fanatix are the strongest alternatives in this comparison for buyers who still want a broad concert marketplace. Hellotickets is particularly interesting when a concert forms part of a city break because tickets sit alongside tours and other attractions.
Which Vivid Seats alternative is best for Formula 1?
Fanatix is our first choice among these resale alternatives because Formula 1 is one of the main event categories highlighted by the marketplace. SportsEvents365 is also worth comparing when attending the race involves international travel.
Can you use Vivid Seats for European football?
Yes. Vivid Seats lists major European clubs and competitions, including Premier League, La Liga and Serie A teams.
Our own test found competitive Barcelona prices, although only 23 listings were available for the fixture we examined and the site was less naturally organised around European football than specialist alternatives.
Is StubHub International the same as StubHub in the United States?
No. StubHub International is owned by Digital Fuel Capital and operates independently from StubHub's North American business.
The international operation was separated following Viagogo's acquisition of StubHub and was sold to Digital Fuel in 2021.
Which Vivid Seats alternative has the best Trustpilot rating?
LiveFootballTickets and LiveRugbyTickets have the highest headline scores among the providers compared here at approximately 4.7/5, although the scale is very different: LiveFootballTickets has around 21,000 reviews, while LiveRugbyTickets has only a few hundred. Vivid Seats remains the largest evidence base by far, with roughly 115,000 reviews.
Which Vivid Seats Alternative Is Best?
StubHub International is the best overall Vivid Seats alternative, particularly for someone who wants another large marketplace spanning sport and entertainment in the UK or Europe.
The more interesting choices emerge once you know the event. LiveFootballTickets is better tailored to European football, Fanatix has a particularly useful mix of Formula 1, tennis and concerts, and LiveRugbyTickets offers a dedicated rugby marketplace.
SportsEvents365 fits international event travel, while Hellotickets makes sense when the ticket is one part of a wider city break.
Vivid Seats itself remains competitive. In our Barcelona comparison it produced the lowest initial ticket price, despite relatively limited inventory and a sizable checkout fee. That neatly illustrates why the best provider can change from one event to another.
Rather than committing to one marketplace, compare the final price, available seating, ticket quantity and delivery arrangements for the event you actually want to attend. Ticket-Compare.com brings those competing listings together so you can make that comparison in one place.
