Clearly, the cost of Leicester City resale tickets can fluctuate greatly depending on the match. Prices on the secondary market are largely driven by supply and demand, often more so than those from official sources.
For instance, tickets for a high-stakes match like Leicester City vs Nottingham Forest are likely to be significantly more expensive than those for a game such as Leicester vs Bournemouth.
Finding cheap LCFC tickets can be difficult, but here are a few strategies to help you save money when using Ticket Compare:
- Choose Single Seats: Solo tickets are often more affordable, so consider sitting separately from your group to reduce costs.
- Focus on Midweek Games: Matches scheduled on weekday evenings usually have lower demand, making tickets less expensive.
- Consider Less Optimal Views: Seats with less-than-ideal views, such as those in the rear of the corners of King Power Stadium, are typically cheaper.
- Avoid High-Profile Matchups: Look for football resale tickets against lower-tier Premier League teams to find more reasonably priced tickets.
While understanding the dynamics of resale markets is crucial, how do these prices compare to those offered directly through the Leicester City ticket office? Let’s take a closer look.
Leicester City Ticket Price on the Primary Market
You will need a Fox Membership if you want to buy LCFC tickets directly. We’ll explain how that works below. Fow now, let’s see what the 2024/25 price range is for match tickets at King Power Stadium:

- Seniors (65+): £31 - £56
- U22: £31 - £59

OK, but how do you go about buying Leicester City match tickets on the primary market? Read on, and we’ll explain all.
Guide to Buying Leicester City Tickets Through the Club
The Foxes may have suffered relegation in 2023, but attendance still exceeded 31,000 in all but six of Leicester City’s matches in the Championship.
So, it’s safe to say that buying Leicester City match tickets through official channels is never easy. Let’s explore the process:
Fox Members Sales Window
When tickets go on sale, about seven weeks before a fixture, Leicester City Members will be at the front of the queue.
However, in order to guarantee yourself tickets for Leicester City matches you need to have a history of attending games, earning Home Priority Points, which we’ll explain in more depth below. For now, this is how LCFC tickets are made available for Premier League matches:
- Day 1, 8 AM: Fox Members With 50 or more Home Priority Points
- Day 3, 8 AM: Fox Members With 20 or more Home Priority Points
- Day 5, 8 AM: All Fox Members
Leicester City Home Priority Points Explained
As we’ve seen, your ability to buy Leicester City tickets through the club’s ticket office will be affected by how many Foxes matches you have been to in the past. So now is a good time to explain that system in a little more depth:
- LCFC Members get 1 Home Priority Point for every home match they attend, as soon as they buy a ticket.
- Every time a Leicester City FC Member renews their membership, they will receive an additional 10 Home Priority Points.
All About Leicester City Fixture Categories
The price of Leicester City matches are tiered or categorised according to the opponent. Here’s a rough breakdown of how they are organised:
- Category A: For matches against the Premier League’s biggest teams, like Liverpool and Arsenal
- Category B: Fixtures against established Premier League teams with big fanbases, like Everton and Newcastle
- Category C: Games vs recently promoted teams like Bournemouth, Southampton and Ipswich
Explaining the Leicester City Ticket Resale Platform
If LCFC tickets have sold out, Fox Members may have another way to get general admission tickets:
- Since 2022, Leicester City Season Ticket holders have been able to list tickets for home matches that they can’t attend.
- This service is made available about three weeks before a sold-out fixture, allowing an ST holder to recoup 1/19th of the price of their season ticket should the seat be bought.
- Instead of being refunded as online credit, the price of the ticket will be paid straight into your bank account.
- You can sell a total of three tickets each season using the Ticket Resale Platform.
Buying Leicester City Away Tickets
It’s almost impossible for an average Fox Member to buy tickets for Leicester City away games.
Capped at £30, these tickets are highly popular, but are also in short supply, with Premier League ticket away allocations rarely more than 3,000.
Leicester City Season Ticket holders are first in line. But even with a Foxes season ticket it’s hard to get LCFC away tickets, as you need to have been a regular at matches on the road for years. There’s an Away Priority Points programme, awarding:
- 50 points for every season ticket renewal
And
- 1 point for every Leicester City away game attended
Now, a tiny fraction—about 2%—of each Premier League away allocation is balloted off in a random computer draw to “Successful Fox Members”, but this is a long shot for LCFC members to buy.
Typical LCFC Away Match Sales Window
To give you a sense of how it works, this is the normal order of sale for Leicester City away tickets (STH means Season Ticket Holder):
- Day 1, 8 AM: Away Priority Scheme
- Day 1, 2 PM: STHs with 650+ Away Priority Points
- Day 1, 2 PM: Successful Fox Members in the ballot
- Day 2, 8 AM: STHs with 610+ Away Priority Points
- Day 3, 8 AM: STHs with 570+ Away Priority Points
- Day 4, 8 AM: STHs with 550+ Away Priority Points
- Day 5, 8 AM: All STHs
- Day 5, 5 PM: All Fox Members
In reality, the ticket allocation will have sold out long before it becomes available to “All Fox Members”.
Have you considered matchday hospitality at the King Power Stadium? It’s a great way to enjoy the match in comfort, and you can read on for more information.
Leicester City Matchday Hospitality Packages
While general admission LCFC tickets are sure to sell out for almost every match, there will still be matchday hospitality spaces available in the countdown to many Premier League fixtures.
If you are ready to splurge a little you can treat yourself to an elevated matchday at Leicester. As a rule, all of the six LCFC matchday hospitality packages include:
- High-end dining, from buffets to multi-course meals

The only private match-by-match setting at the King Power Stadium is set in the studio occasionally used by broadcasters. You’ll watch the game behind the glass wall, and this space offers enhanced crowd sound through state-of-the-art speakers.
Is There a Dress Code for Leicester City Hospitality?
Yes, it’s smart-casual. This means no sportswear, including trainers, and no away colours.
Is a Parking Space Included in Matchday Hospitality at the King Power Stadium?
Yes, but only if you purchase a minimum of four LCFC hospitality tickets.
Can I Bring an Away Fan to LCFC Hospitality?
Yes, but they can’t wear any away apparel, and need to be mindful that they’re among Foxes fans.
So you’ve snapped up your Leicester City tickets, but what can you expect on a matchday at the King Power Stadium? We’ll explain now:
Top Leicester City Matchday Tips at the King Power Stadium
The Foxes moved into their 32,259-seater stadium in 2002, and the club continues to improve their home. In 2023 the LCFC announced that they had official permission to redevelop the stadium, increasing the capacity to 40,000 and creating a spectacular outdoor event space.
In the meantime, the King Power remains a super place to watch Premier League football, still infused with all the magic of Leicester City’s historic league win back in 2016.
Now, we’ll offer some tips for first-time Leicester City FC attendees to have a perfect matchday experience with your King Power Stadium tickets. We’ve also got some useful info for away fans later in the section:
Getting to the King Power Stadium
We’ve published a detailed guide for anyone working out how to get to the King Power Stadium. So we’ll just cover the essential details now.
The main thing to know is that Leicester City’s ground is 1.2 miles from Leicester Train Station. This is about 40 minutes on foot, 10-15 minutes on the bus, or 5 minutes by car.
If you’re heading by road, Junction 21 (M1 and M69) is the key interchange, about 5 miles west of the stadium.
For matchday parking at King Power, pre-book to park at the club’s Filbert Street Car Park, while there are independent car parks at Freemens Common and Leicester Tigers Rugby Stadium, a 10-minute walk away.
Pre-Match Activities near King Power Stadium
Exploring Leicester City Centre
With the heart of the city so close, you could take a look around before moving onto the King Power Stadium. Here are a few highlights:
- King Richard III Visitor Centre (LE1 5DB)
- The Guildhall Museum, former town hall dating back to 1390 (LE1 5FQ)
- Leicester Cathedral, home of the tomb of King Richard III (LE1 5PZ)
- Leicester Museum & Art Gallery (LE1 7EA)
Get to the King Power Stadium Early
Due to the ground’s inner-city location, there can be a lot of congestion, starting an hour before matchdays, with road closures in place. So to avoid any delays, you could get to your King Power Stadium seating up to 90 minutes before kick-off when the turnstiles open.
Visiting the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Memorial Garden
There’s a moving memorial to the former Leicester City owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who lost his life, along with four other people, in a helicopter crash in 2018.
A year later, the site on the south-east side of the stadium opened as a garden of remembrance, worth visiting to reflect one of the key figures behind LCFC’s stunning Premier League championship.
In 2022 a statue for Khun Vichai was unveiled on the north-west side of the ground.
Shopping at the Foxes Fanstore
The place to go for official Leicester City merchandise is on the corner of the North Stand and West Stand on Filbert Way (LE2 7FL). The Foxes Fanstore is the flagship outlet for LCFC products, and also offers shirt personalisation.
For a 3 PM kick-off the store is open from 9 AM, closing at kick-off and reopening for 45 minutes after the game.
Best Pub for King Power Stadium
We recommend the Local Hero (LE2 7LB), just five minutes on foot from the stadium. Set in a leisure park, this is an enormous Greene King establishment, with a dedicated sports area featuring big screen TVs and free Wi-Fi.
Leicester City Ticket Offices at King Power Stadium
- For on-the-day ticket enquiries, the stadium’s Sales Centre is open 9 AM to 1PM.
- The Matchday Leicester City Ticket Office is open 9 AM up to half-time.
- The South East Ticket Office is open from 1 PM until half-time.
Entering The King Power Stadium
Bag Policy
Oversized bags are not permitted at the King Power Stadium. This includes anything larger than an A4 piece of paper.
Prohibited Items
There’s a long list of items that cannot be taken into the ground for the sake of supporter safety. These include musical instruments, glass bottles, drinks cans, large umbrellas, whistles, laser pointers, pyrotechnics and air horns.
Inside the King Power Stadium
Where is the Best Place to Sit at Leicester City?
- West Stand: Leicester City’s main stand is home to almost all of the matchday hospitality seats. Come for exceptional views, especially up on the First Floor and by the Directors’ Box on the halfway line.
- East Stand: Here you get the same great views as the West Stand, but with some added atmosphere. Block G1 at the south end, is right next to the hardcore Foxes fans, while L1 to the north is beside the away fans.
- North Stand: King Power Stadium’s family area is here, in blocks P2 and P3, so this is a good spot for people coming to the game with children. Further east, P and P1 are next to the away section, if you want a bit more of an atmosphere.
- South Stand: For atmosphere, this is the place to be. Block SK1 in the south-east corner of the stadium is home to LCFC’s loudest fans, who will stand up for the whole game. The neighbouring blocks, SK2 and SK3 are no less noisy.
Accessibility
As a 21st-century venue, the King Power Stadium has good accessibility, with 197 wheelchair spaces, spread across every stand in the stadium.
There are also 550 easy access seats in Blocks SK4 (South Stand), H (East Stand), and P2 (North Stand).
Some of these seats can be exposed, but stewards will provide blankets and/or waterproofs on request.
The stadium has 23 accessible toilets, with access offered via RADAR keys that you can obtain from a steward.
Payments
The King Power Stadium is cashless. It was one of the first Premier League stadiums to convert to credit card and debit card systems only, back in 2019. They also became the first to introduce frictionless, tap & go kiosks in 2022.
What Food Is Served at Leicester FC?
There’s a full range of food on offer on the concourse including cheeseburgers, hot dogs and pies. But the stadium’s speciality is its sausage rolls with Red Leicester cheese.
During the Leicester City Match
The Post-Horn Gallop
A part of the matchday experience at Leicester City since 1941, a musician plays a song dating back to 1844 on a post-horn, an instrument once used on horse-drawn carriages to announce the arrival of mail.
When You’re Smiling
Always an emotional moment, the whole stadium joins in to sing the club’s unofficial anthem, a staple since the 1980s. By now the King Power Stadium atmosphere will be electric.
Leicester City Crowd Chants
If it’s your first time at the King Power Stadium, it’s worth knowing some of the Foxes’ favourite songs, in case you don’t already.
Here are a few heard around the ground in 2024: “Jamie Vardy’s Magic”, “We’re by Far the Greatest Team”, “Leicester Till I Die”, “Na-Na Na Na, Leicester” (to the tune of Hey Jude), “Our Boys in Blue”.
Post-Match Tips
Exiting the King Power Stadium
From our experience, it’s relatively easy to get out of Leicester City’s stadium after full-time. Many fans will just make the walk along Aylestone Road and the A594 back to the city centre.
Pubs for Post-Match Celebrations
If you want to stay in the area a little longer and savour a victory you could always head to one of the pubs near the ground.
We mentioned Local Hero above, but Firebug Bar (LE1 5JN), closer to the centre of Leicester, is about 20 minutes from the stadium and has live music at night.
Away Fan Tips for Leicester City Matches
Before we finish off, we’ve created a separate section to lay out some recommendations for away fans visiting the King Power Stadium.
Arrive as Early as Possible
Try to get to the ground by 2 PM for a 3 PM kick-off. King Power Stadium Turnstiles are open up to 90 minutes before the match, and there are plenty of food & drink counters open on the away concourse at this time.
Pub for Away Fans
The designated spot for away fans to hangout pre-game is the Counting House (LE2 7LH), a five-minute walk from the ground.
This is another Greene King establishment, with a beer garden and a full menu.
Where Do Away Fans Sit at the King Power Stadium?
As we’ll show below, the away section is in the corner of the North and East Stands, in blocks M1 to M4. You enter via turnstiles 40-49 and there are accessible turnstiles at 42 and 43.
Below, we’ll turn our attention to Leicester City FC memberships and season tickets.
