It’s almost impossible for an average Fox Member to buy tickets for Leicester City away games.

Capped at £30, these tickets are highly popular, but are also in short supply, with Premier League ticket away allocations rarely more than 3,000.

Leicester City Season Ticket holders are first in line. But even with a Foxes season ticket it’s hard to get LCFC away tickets, as you need to have been a regular at matches on the road for years. There’s an Away Priority Points programme, awarding:

The main thing to know is that Leicester City’s ground is 1.2 miles from Leicester Train Station. This is about 40 minutes on foot, 10-15 minutes on the bus, or 5 minutes by car.

If you’re heading by road, Junction 21 (M1 and M69) is the key interchange, about 5 miles west of the stadium.

For matchday parking at King Power, pre-book to park at the club’s Filbert Street Car Park, while there are independent car parks at Freemens Common and Leicester Tigers Rugby Stadium, a 10-minute walk away.

Visiting the Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha Memorial Garden

There’s a moving memorial to the former Leicester City owner, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha, who lost his life, along with four other people, in a helicopter crash in 2018.

A year later, the site on the south-east side of the stadium  opened as a garden of remembrance, worth visiting to reflect one of the key figures behind LCFC’s stunning Premier League championship.

In 2022 a statue for Khun Vichai was unveiled on the north-west side of the ground.

Shopping at the Foxes Fanstore 

The place to go for official Leicester City merchandise is on the corner of the North Stand and West Stand on Filbert Way (LE2 7FL). The Foxes Fanstore is the flagship outlet for LCFC products, and also offers shirt personalisation.

For a 3 PM kick-off the store is open from 9 AM, closing at kick-off and reopening for 45 minutes after the game.

Best Pub for King Power Stadium

We recommend the Local Hero (LE2 7LB), just five minutes on foot from the stadium. Set in a leisure park, this is an enormous Greene King establishment, with a dedicated sports area featuring big screen TVs and free Wi-Fi.

Leicester City Ticket Offices at King Power Stadium

• For on-the-day ticket enquiries, the stadium’s Sales Centre is open 9 AM to 1PM.
• The Matchday Leicester City Ticket Office is open 9 AM up to half-time.
• The South East Ticket Office is open from 1 PM until half-time.

Bag Policy

Oversized bags are not permitted at the King Power Stadium. This includes anything larger than an A4 piece of paper.

Prohibited Items

There’s a long list of items that cannot be taken into the ground for the sake of supporter safety. These include musical instruments, glass bottles, drinks cans, large umbrellas, whistles, laser pointers, pyrotechnics and air horns.

Where is the Best Place to Sit at Leicester City?

• West Stand: Leicester City’s main stand is home to almost all of the matchday hospitality seats. Come for exceptional views, especially up on the First Floor and by the Directors’ Box on the halfway line.
• East Stand: Here you get the same great views as the West Stand, but with some added atmosphere. Block G1 at the south end, is right next to the hardcore Foxes fans, while L1 to the north is beside the away fans.
• North Stand: King Power Stadium’s family area is here, in blocks P2 and P3, so this is a good spot for people coming to the game with children. Further east, P and P1 are next to the away section, if you want a bit more of an atmosphere.
• South Stand: For atmosphere, this is the place to be. Block SK1 in the south-east corner of the stadium is home to LCFC’s loudest fans, who will stand up for the whole game. The neighbouring blocks, SK2 and SK3 are no less noisy.

Accessibility

As a 21st-century venue, the King Power Stadium has good accessibility, with 197 wheelchair spaces, spread across every stand in the stadium.

There are also 550 easy access seats in Blocks SK4 (South Stand), H (East Stand), and P2 (North Stand).

Some of these seats can be exposed, but stewards will provide blankets and/or waterproofs on request.

The stadium has 23 accessible toilets, with access offered via RADAR keys that you can obtain from a steward.

Payments

The King Power Stadium is cashless. It was one of the first Premier League stadiums to convert to credit card and debit card systems only, back in 2019. They also became the first to introduce frictionless, tap & go kiosks in 2022.

What Food Is Served at Leicester FC?

There’s a full range of food on offer on the concourse including cheeseburgers, hot dogs and pies. But the stadium’s speciality is its sausage rolls with Red Leicester cheese.

From our experience, it’s relatively easy to get out of Leicester City’s stadium after full-time. Many fans will just make the walk along Aylestone Road and the A594 back to the city centre.

Pubs for Post-Match Celebrations

If you want to stay in the area a little longer and savour a victory you could always head to one of the pubs near the ground.

We mentioned Local Hero above, but Firebug Bar (LE1 5JN), closer to the centre of Leicester, is about 20 minutes from the stadium and has live music at night.

Arrive as Early as Possible  

Try to get to the ground by 2 PM for a 3 PM kick-off. King Power Stadium Turnstiles are open up to 90 minutes before the match, and there are plenty of food & drink counters open on the away concourse at this time.

Pub for Away Fans

The designated spot for away fans to hangout pre-game is the Counting House (LE2 7LH), a five-minute walk from the ground.

This is another Greene King establishment, with a beer garden and a full menu.

Where Do Away Fans Sit at the King Power Stadium?

As we’ll show below, the away section is in the corner of the North and East Stands, in blocks M1 to M4. You enter via turnstiles 40-49 and there are accessible turnstiles at 42 and 43.

Below, we’ll turn our attention to Leicester City FC memberships and season tickets.

Priced at £35 in 2024/25, an adult Leicester City Membership gives you priority access to home Leicester tickets before they reach general sale.

You will also qualify for those all-important Home Priority Points to stand a better chance of attending the big games and eventually qualifying for a season ticket, as we’ll explain a little later.

Costing £18, this membership tier will grant the same ticketing privileges as an adult Fox Membership. Importantly, it also offers kids aged 7-11 the chance to become a matchday mascot.

At £10, this package will introduce the youngest family members to LCFC support, from priority tickets to retail discounts.

Paying £30, fans located outside of the UK can become Leicester City Members, and enjoy all of the same ticketing benefits.

By becoming a Fox Member and collecting Home Priority Points. You will have to attend Leicester City home fixtures across several years to qualify, because Foxes Season Tickets sell out every year.

Nottingham Forest. This is the East Midlands Derby with fewer than 30 miles separating the two stadiums.
