A rising star in the  resale ticketing industry, Fanatix is on our radar and it’s time to answer the question, Is Fanatix legit? Find out more in our thorough Fanatix review, exploring all aspects of the buying experience as well as the site’s customer care and how much it charges on service fees.

Part of the Madrid-based LiveTix Group, Fanatix is a new resale ticketing site dedicated to live events. Fanatix puts an emphasis on concerts, from pop to rap to rock, but also caters to a range of sports, including tennis, darts and Formula 1 tickets.

The team behind Fanatix.com have been in the industry for more than 25 years, and the site’s driving philosophy is about building customer trust rather than pushing for quick sales.

To do this, the website’s About Us section claims that Fanatix pre-vets every seller and checks every order for possible fraud to ensure peace of mind for buyers. In our Fanatix review we’ll assess every aspect of the site, from usability to ticket availability, customer service and pricing.

So, is Fanatix legit? In our efforts to give you an answer we will also find out what customers have had to say in their own review of Fanatix.

The buying experience at Fanatix

In all our time testing ticketing websites we have rarely come across a site as clean, intuitive and responsive as Fanatix.

screenshot of Fanatix "Concert tickets" dropdown menu

The site is satisfying to navigate, with not a bug to be found. The dropdown menus load instantly, and an ultra-simple layout that breaks the entire site’s offer down to “Concert Tickets” “F1 Tickets” and “Tennis Tickets”.

These were the main menu options when we browsed the site, but the choices are adjusted seasonally according to the events on the calendar.

Availability of Tickets on Fanatix

We spent a few minutes clicking through the menus on Fanatix, checking out their listings.

screenshot of Canada F1 GP tickets page

What we found was remarkably high availability for most of the events that we explored—from the Canadian Grand Prix to Wimbledon tickets to Bruce Springsteen tickets and Bad Bunny tickets.

screenshot of Concert tickets

We were hunting for Kendrick Lamar and SZA for their limited run of London shows in July 2025. Despite the massive demand for these dates, there were still plenty of tickets for these shows, although we were under no illusions that we had to act fast.

Choosing Your Seats on Fanatix

The user-friendliness on Fanatix extends to the individual event page, with a clear list of ticketing options on the right-hand column and a polished interactive stadium plan on the left.

It’s obvious which seating sections have tickets on offer, and each listing contains a small wealth of useful information to keep in mind, including how many tickets are still available in the chosen section.

Small question mark buttons reveal yet more info about age restrictions, the view and seating location.

The Fanatix Guarantee

At the bottom of the checkout form you will find a prominent popup that goes into detail about the guarantee that Fanatix applies to all of its transactions.

This makes clear that Fanatix.com is not the seller of any ticket, but by providing the marketplace, it does take responsibility for the tickets’ authenticity.

So if the site falls short, all purchases are backed by a 100% guarantee, which also includes 50% credit from your original order towards a future purchase.

This is a timely and reassuring piece of info at a crucial stage in the transaction, when many buyers might get cold feet.

Paying for Tickets on Fanatix

A sure sign that a secondary market website is run by professionals, is the wide choice of trusted payment options. PayPal is a big positive, and is a big trust signal in its own right, and will be factored into our Fanatix review.

Another nice touch that hit us at the start of the payment process, is that you don’t have to go through a registration process to check out.

Ticket Prices on Fanatix

We know that getting to a concert, especially if you’re buying resale tickets, will never be cheap these days. That said, relatively speaking the prices for tickets on Fanatix were reasonable, especially when we matched them with the site’s competitors.

The price for Kendrick Lamar tickets for section 451 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium was £174 each (tickets were part of a pair). For equivalent seats on StubHub the starting price was £214. The price on Vividseats was £183, while the cheapest we could find on Gigsberg was also £183.

At the very least, this suggests that the prices on Fanatix are competitive when it comes to concert tickets.

Fanatix Service Fee

At checkout you’re presented with the service fee, which is an inevitable part of buying tickets on the secondary market.

Again, we are realistic on this topic, and understand that service fees are a necessary inconvenience, helping to keep the most trustworthy sites on top of security and running smoothly.

scrrenshot of Taxes and Total price

If there is a negative to how Fanatix confronts users with the fee, it’s by combining it with tax, making it tricky to work out just how big the charge is. You also aren’t made aware of any fee being added until you’re about to pay.

At any rate, it comes to about 30% of the ticket price. If we subtract 10% for what we assume is Spanish VAT for cultural activities we end up with 20%, which is relatively low by the standards of the resale ticketing industry.

Fanatix Support and Customer Service

The site has a strong reputation for its customer service, but for the sake of our review of Fanatix we thought it would be worthwhile putting it to the test. We decided to come up with a question about Fanatix.com’s resale policy for unwanted tickets.

screenshot of the email conversation

As you can see, we got a reply within less than ten minutes. Bearing in mind, we have sometimes had to wait for a week or more for a response, this is extremely attentive customer service, especially for a question out of the blue.

So, full marks for this part of our review of Fanatix! Next in our Fanatix review we’ll inspect those dreaded T&Cs.

Fanatix Terms and Conditions

For anybody using the secondary market to buy event tickets, we recommend taking a thorough look at a site’s Terms and Conditions page before making a purchase.

This is vital for a first-time buyer as there are a lot of conditions that apply to resale tickets that do not apply to the primary market, while every site has a slightly different way of doing things. So we’ll reveal a few things in our Fanatix review:

Does Fanatix convert currencies?

Yes, and this could be a minor drawback, because there’s a small chance that the price you pay on the site may not be exactly what is charged from your bank account: “To make it easier for fans to buy from Sellers on our site we provide currency conversion estimates. We update them regularly so the price you see is very close to what gets charged by your bank, but please note that we cannot guarantee it will be exactly the same.

Does Fanatix give refunds?

The answer is “yes”, but only if an event is cancelled and not rescheduled, or if something goes wrong on the sellers’ end: “Under the extraordinarily rare circumstances in which an event is cancelled or government restrictions on stadium capacities are implemented, We will refund you the ticket purchase price, through a credit back on the payment method you have used…In the rare event you do not receive your tickets in time for a match (for an event that is not cancelled), a full refund will be issued to you.

Will Fanatix refund you if the event is postponed?

No, and this is common practice for secondary marketplaces. Your tickets will remain valid for the rescheduled date: “Event dates and times are always subject to change. In fact, it happens frequently, so it’s important that you check with the venue or local media regularly for the correct time and date – yes, sometimes they will move the date of the matches. When you make a purchase for a specific event, you are purchasing tickets for that event regardless of the date/time that it is played.

Can you resell your ticket through Fanatix?

While Fanatix doesn’t offer a peer-to-peer (p2p) sales platform, you do have the option of allowing the site to resell your tickets ‘on consignment’: “If the customer would like to sell the tickets that they purchased, they can contact us to do so. We will attempt to sell the tickets for them on consignment…If the customer originally purchased those tickets from our website, we will attempt to resell their tickets and recover as much of the money as possible, up to the amount that they paid for them.

When are Fanatix tickets delivered?

Mobile tickets, which now account for almost all tickets sold on the site, should be with you within 48 hours on an event: “Mobile Tickets are QR codes that are usually transferred 24/48 hours before the match and, depending on the club or federation responsible to release them, our customers may be required to download an application in order to receive them and present at the stadium gates.

Let’s move on in our Fanatix.com review by assessing the response to the site from other users on the internet.

Fanatix Reviews from Other Sites

After doing some poking around for our Fanatix review it became clear that the site doesn’t have a big online presence on independent review sites. From what we can tell, this is neither a positive nor a negative thing, as there is little evidence of people registering their opinion on the site.

Still, we thought we would take a closer look at Fanatix’s Trustpilot page to see what we could find.

screenshot of the Fanatix's page on Trustpilot

As you can see there are only 16 reviews, and a weighted average score of 4.5 stars. Keep in mind that Trustpilot limits the review score for new sites until they have a larger sample size.

Positive Fanatix Reviews

As you can see from the keywords, the reviews from Fanatix’s small array of users chimes with our experience with the website.

screenshot of the Fanatix's score on Trustpilot

As for the content of the reviews, almost every single one used the word “easy” at some point. Again that simply backs up what we encountered. It was a breeze to locate tickets, select our seats and pay for them.

screenshot of the Fanatix's reviews on Trustpilot

We should also point out that a Fanatix representative responds to most of the Trustpilot reviews. We’ll be keeping an eye on responses should someone have a negative experience or a mix-up with Fanatix in the future.

Verdict

We could not have asked for more from Fanatix.com. Every aspect of the transaction went smoothly, from navigating the site to selecting our tickets. We also chose a purposely awkward question to ask their customer service team, and they responded with a clear answer in under ten minutes. So we can only give a five-star review for Fanatix. And if you’re wondering, Is Fanatix Legit? Well, the answer is a clear “yes”.
