How Long is the Arsenal Season Ticket Waiting List?

As of the 2025/26 season, there are more than 100,000 people waiting for an Arsenal season ticket. The estimated wait time is at least 20 years, though the club doesn’t give an official timeline. At any rate, it’s one of the longest waiting lists for a season ticket in the Premier League

With a 98 per cent renewal rate in 2024, only 800 of 40,000 season tickets became available for the 2024/25 season.

Until more season ticket holders give up their spots, or others decline offers, the waiting list will likely continue to grow.

How Do I Join the Arsenal Season Ticket Waiting List?

To join the Arsenal season ticket waiting list, you need to apply for Gold Membership. The one-off fee is £50 for adults and £25 for those under 18.

Once you’re on the list, it’s a waiting game. When a current season ticket holder gives up their spot, you move up the list.

Interestingly, about a third of fans on the list turn down the opportunity when their chance arises.

How to Get an Arsenal Season Ticket Faster?

One way for Arsenal fans to get a season ticket as soon as possible is by purchasing an Arsenal Debenture.

A debenture is a type of bond that Arsenal FC issued in the early 1990s to finance the renovation of Highbury Stadium.

Arsenal Debentures give holders the automatic right to purchase an Arsenal season ticket for each upcoming season, bypassing the long waiting list.

In recent years, wealthy Arsenal fans have used debentures as a way to secure season tickets without waiting.

These debentures are now traded through the private equity firm Asset Match, and their value has skyrocketed, with prices reaching as high as £25,000—a 400 per cent increase in just a few years.

Why Has the Arsenal Season Ticket Waiting List Grown?

The waiting list has surged due to Arsenal’s improvement under Mikel Arteta making Emirates Stadium tickets a must-have over the last few seasons.

The vibrant atmosphere, combined with the football team’s rising form, has attracted Gunners fans in their droves. Additionally, the pandemic played a role: during COVID-19, fans high on the waiting list were offered one-year season tickets.

After the pandemic, many of these holders were given the option to renew, further slowing down the list.

What Games Are Included in an Arsenal Season Ticket?

For the 2025/26 season, most Arsenal season ticket holders have access to 23 matches. This includes Premier League tickets for all 19 home games, plus Champions League tickets for four group stage matches.

However, if you opt for a 19-match season ticket you will only get access to home Premier League matches at the Emirates.

For additional matches, Arsenal offers a Cup Scheme, which allows ticket holders to automatically purchase tickets for European and FA Cup games before they go on sale to Arsenal members.

Arsenal Season Ticket Usage Policy

To keep the Emirates full and the atmosphere rocking, season ticket holders are expected to either attend most matches or share their seat through official channels, which we’ll cover below.

So, for the 2025/26 season:

  • 23-game Arsenal season ticket holders must use their seat for at least 20 matches
  • 19-game holders must use it for 17 matches
  • Club Level holders must attend 22 games

Can’t make a match? You can transfer your ticket to a friend or resell it on Ticket Exchange for free. To earn a usage credit:

  • Post before midnight the day before the match and you will be guaranteed credit
  • If you post on matchday you will only get credit if the ticket sells

Note: These rules don’t apply to disability access season ticket holders.

Can I Sell My Arsenal Season Ticket?

Yes, in a way, by listing your seat on the Arsenal Ticket Exchange. This service is available for most sold-out games and allows you to recoup the price of your seat, provided it resells on the Ticket Exchange.

This service also allows Arsenal FC season ticket holders to comply with the seat utilisation rules mentioned above.

Arsenal Ticket Transfer Explained

Until as late as three hours before kick-off, season ticket holders can pass their ticket on to friends and family.

This service is completely free to use. The recipient doesn’t even need to an Arsenal membership. They just need to have a free Arsenal Online Box Office account, and be included in your list of names.

Again, this is a way to make sure you keep up with Arsenal’s tightened seat utilisation rules.

How Will I Be Offered a Season Ticket?

After the final game of the season, current Arsenal season ticket holders are invited to renew. At the end of the renewal period, the club assesses availability and offers tickets to those at the top of the waiting list.

When your name comes up, you’ll have less than two weeks to decide whether to purchase. If you decline, you're removed from the list and can go back to the bottom if you reapply.

Most often, the available tickets are in more expensive sections, as cheaper Lower Tier seats have low availability.

However, accepting a more expensive ticket gives you priority for a cheaper seat in the future.

How Do I Get an Arsenal Club Level Season Ticket?

For premium seating, Arsenal offers Platinum Membership for Club Level seats. This guarantees access to all Premier League, European, FA Cup, and EFL Cup matches.

Prices start at £3,560 for a basic Arsenal Club Level season ticket and can go up to £11,600 for the exclusive Avenell Club.

Is there a Waiting List for Arsenal Platinum Membership?

If you’re willing to pay the price, the waiting list is relatively short for Platinum Membership, at less than two years.

To join the waiting list for these premium seats, a 25 per cent non-refundable deposit is required. Renewals for these tickets take place earlier than general admission season tickets, around April.

How to Get Tickets without an Arsenal Season Ticket?

We have shown that getting hold of an Arsenal FC season ticket is easier said than done. The waiting list is massive and continues to grow, while Arsenal debentures and Club Level season tickets may be prohibitively expensive.

This is where the secondary market comes into play for football tickets. Ticket Compare is a price comparison platform sourcing genuine Arsenal match tickets from a lineup of trusted resellers and official hospitality partners.

With no need for membership, there’s no easier way to take your seat at Emirates Stadium in 2025/26.
