Crystal Palace Membership: Everything You Need to Know in 2024

With an exciting young team, an expanding stadium and one of the league’s best crowds, things are looking good for the Eagles. Find out how to join the action with a Crystal Palace Membership.

Our Guide to Crystal Palace Membership

Has there ever been a better time to be a Palace fan? SE25 feels like the place to be these days, at an upwardly mobile team with stylish young players. While Selhurst Park is not one of the largest grounds in the Premier League, it’s certainly one of the loudest. With a Crystal Palace Membership you can keep up to date with the Eagles, and will stand a better chance of buying CPFC tickets through official channels. In this article we’ll cover Palace Membership from every angle, and will also talk you through the alternatives.

Crystal Membership Membership Levels

CPFC offers a variety of membership packages, depending on your location, age, and how engaged you want to be with the club. We’ll discuss them all right here:

Crystal Palace Gold Membership

Costing £60, the top tier of Crystal Palace Memberships is well worth getting, purely for its ticketing perks. A three-day priority window lets you jump the queue for home tickets, giving you a much higher chance of success. So here’s a summary of what you get with a CPFC Gold Membership:

  • Access to CPFC’s away ticket ballot

  • Standard access to tickets for Premier League home matches
  • 100 CPFC Loyalty Points
  • Exclusive offers Crystal Palace partners
  • Exclusive offers on Premium hospitality packages

A few Palace TV+ benefits include:

  • Live audio coverage of every game
  • Full broadcasts of pre-season games and some academy fixtures
  • 90-minute replays of every Premier League game

  • Live footage of pre-game press conferences

Crystal Palace Season Ticket

Always coveted, Crystal Palace Season Tickets sell out every year. The queue isn’t massive, but you do need to allow for at least a year to stand a chance of buying a CPFC Season Ticket. It costs £10 to join the waiting list, and this will be taken off the price of your Palace Season Ticket should you eventually decide to make the purchase. We cover the process in full detail in our article about the Crystal Palace season ticket waiting list.

Of course, the main benefit of a Crystal Palace Season Ticket is a guaranteed seat at every home game. You can also use the CPFC Ticket Sharing scheme to pass your seat onto another Palace Season Ticket holder or CPFC Member. Added to that are 500 Loyalty Points every season, and access to special offers on hospitality, room hire, and deals with the club’s corporate partners.

Crystal Palace Season Tickets are reasonably priced compared to other London clubs in the Premier League. For the 2024-25 season an adult ticket ranged from £545, in the Whitehorse Lane or Holmesdale Lower ends, to £755 in the Main Stand.

Crystal Palace Season Ticket+

Pay an additional £50 on top of the price of a Palace Season Ticket, and you’re entitled to slew of benefits that make the upgrade worthwhile. Rest assured, if you do opt for the CPFC Season Ticket+ you get a lot of bang for your buck, with most of the perks of Gold Membership included. Here are the exclusive benefits:

  • Chance to relocate your seat at the end of the renewal period in the spring
  • Ability to share your ticket with any CPFC fan, even if they don’t have a Membership or Palace Season Ticket
  • Access to a 72-hour sales window before Crystal Palace tickets are available for CPFC Members
  • A Palace TV+ subscription
  • An age-specific gift pack, including a voucher for a home kit for people aged u18
  • 750 CPFC Loyalty Points instead of the 500 awarded to regular Palace Season Ticket holders
  • No transaction fees on ticket orders through the club
  • A 10% discount at the CPFC club shop
  • A specially-designed digital ticket, exclusive to Crystal Palace Season Ticket+ holders

Buying Crystal Palace Tickets with a Membership

Using the official Crystal Palace Ticket Hub, tickets for most home matches are only available for people with CPFC Season Tickets or a Palace Membership. As we’ve shown, it’s much easier to get tickets for a given match if you have a Crystal Palace Gold Membership, thanks to the three-day priority window.

Tickets go on sale about a month before a fixture. The best way to buy is online, as the Ticket Hub opens to internet customers at 10:00, and not until 14:00 for phone and in-person bookings.

General Admission tickets for Crystal Palace’s home games tend to cost between £48 and £58, which is pretty reasonable compared to other Premier League teams, especially in the capital. The deciding factor for ticket price is the seating category, which is a different concept to “Match Category”, which we’ll talk about in more detail below.

Seating Category is determined by the location in the stadium. So, Category 1 seats have a prime location, on the halfway line in the longside Main Stand. Meanwhile Category 5 tickets are behind the goals in the shortsides Holmesdale Road Stand and Whitehorse Lane Stand. You can check the layout with the help of our Selhurst Park seating guide

Concession tickets for seniors (aged 65 and over) and fans aged 18 to 21 cost £32 - £45, while standard Junior tickets cost from £25 to £31.

What is the Crystal Palace Ticket Sharing Scheme?

Palace Season Ticket holders who can’t get to a match can pass their seat onto other CPFC Members or Season Ticket holders via the Ticket Sharing scheme. This is done match-by-match free of charge, although there is a £10 admin fee if the recipient needs a Digital Ticket.

As we mentioned above CPFC Season Ticket+ holders have the privilege of sharing their seat with anyone, regardless of the recipient’s Crystal Palace Membership status. Still, to do this, the person who receives the ticket does need to be listed as “Friends & Family” on the Season Ticket+ holder’s ticketing profile.

What Are Crystal Palace Loyalty Points?

As some of the allocations are so small and Crystal Palace has such a big away support, CPFC away tickets are always oversubscribed. So, as a way of making things as fair as possible and rewarding long-term support, the club runs a Loyalty Points scheme.

As we’ve seen, you can earn these by purchasing a Palace Membership or a CPFC Season Ticket, as well as by spending money at Selhurst Park and online. The points breakdown for match ticket purchases is as follows:

  • Home games: 20 points
  • Away game tickets: 20 points for matches against Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, West Ham United, Chelsea, Fulham, Brighton & Hove Albion, Liverpool and Manchester United
  • 40 points: All other away fixtures.
  • Cup Game points are announced when the fixtures are released

Around three weeks before an away fixture, CPFC away tickets are made available via a sequence of daily sales phases, depending on how many Crystal Palace Loyalty Points you’ve accrued. For a popular fixture in London or the South, this will look something like:

Phase 1: Members and Season Ticket Holders with 8,500+ Loyalty Points

Phase 2: Members and Season Ticket Holders with 6,500+ Loyalty Points

Phase 3: Members and Season Ticket Holders with 4,000+ Loyalty Points

This will continue until the full allocation is sold. When it comes to the long trips and midweek away fixtures there’s much more availability. Still, you can see how difficult it is to get hold of Crystal Palace away tickets if you’re a new fan.

However, there are other options as we’ll show below. You can also browse our guide to Premier League away allocations.

What is the Palace Away Ticket Ballot?

To give Crystal Palace Members a better chance of seeing their team on the road, the club reserves a small portion of the away allocation. These are put into a ballot that CPFC Members can enter, regardless of the Loyalty Points total.

This process is only available to people with Crystal Palace Gold Membership, and to Junior Eagles Gold Members. The club keeps exact details of the ticket count and probability of success under wraps.

Will a Crystal Palace Membership Guarantee Me a Ticket?

The answer is ‘not exactly’. Using official channels, Palace tickets are oversubscribed, and a basic Palace Membership may not be enough to guarantee a ticket.

However, as we showed above, you do stand a better chance of buying Crystal Palace tickets with a CPFC Gold Membership. This comes with that exclusive 72-hour priority window for every Crystal Palace home game.

How Many Tickets Can I Buy with a Crystal Palace Membership?

The amount of tickets you can purchase with the CPFC Membership depends on the Match Category. We’ll show you the breakdown below:

  • Category A Matches = Maximum of Two Tickets per Crystal Palace Membership
  • Category B Matches = Between Two and Four Tickets per Crystal Palace Membership
  • Category C Matches = A Maximum of Four Tickets per Crystal Palace Membership

As a reminder, Category A matches are against top-tier opposition, as well as the famous M23 Derbies against Brighton. Category B opponents include London rivals and established Premier League clubs like Aston Villa and Newcastle United, while Category C games are versus newer Premier League teams, like Bournemouth and Ipswich.

Is There a Waiting List to Become a Crystal Palace Member?

No, you can simply sign up in preseason or during the campaign. In the second half of the season, the club reduces the price of their various membership packages by £10. Remember, Palace Memberships expire at the end of each season.

Can I Stagger the Cost of my CPFC Membership?

The answer is yes. By partnering with a finance company, Crystal Palace is one of the few clubs in the Premier League to offer an installment plan for their Memberships. This lets you spread the cost throughout the year.

Crystal Palace Seasonal Hospitality

As a relatively small ground, by Premier League standards, Crystal Palace has a limited number of hospitality lounges. This will change with the redevelopment of the Main Stand, which was delayed by Covid-19 but will boost Selhurst Park’s capacity from 26,000 to more than 34,000 and offer the kind of luxury experiences expected of a 21st-century stadium.

For now there are a handful of ways to see Palace games in more refined surroundings, and we’ll list them below. Seasonal packages at Selhurst Park do sell out, but new customers can join a waiting list and will have the chance to purchase a package before the start of each new season.

Who are the Former Players in Crystal Palace’s Hospitality Lounges?

A whole team of Palace legends is on hand to make the premium experience at Selhurst Park a little more special. Several former players show up at Speroni's Restaurant, the 2010 Club and Legends Restaurant, posing for photographs and sharing exciting anecdotes about their playing days. Engagement from legends changes from lounge to lounge, while the lineup varies from week to week and season to season. Here are a few of the regulars:

  • John Salako, the England winger who played more than 200 times for the Eagles between 1986 and 1995, winning promotion in 1989 and 1994, and playing in the FA Cup Final in 1990
  • Vince Hilaire, the livewire winger who starred in the Eagles teams of the late 1970s and 1980s, making 250 appearances and winning the Second Division in 1979
  • Jim Cannon, the Scottish defender and arguably Palace’s greatest player, who made more than 660 appearances for the club  over 16 seasons
  • Darren Ambrose, one of the most technically gifted English players of his generation, known for his long-range strikes and remembered for helping to secure Palace’s Championship status in 2009-10
  • Clinton Morrison, a tricky and prolific striker who came through the Palace academy, going on to score 112 goals for the Eagles
  • Gabor Kiraly, the eccentric goalkeeper, easily recognised by his grey tracksuit bottoms, who made 100+ appearances for Palace in the 2000s
  • Leon McKenzie, another local-born academy product, who was a regular for Palace in the late 1990s, before becoming a competitive super middleweight boxer after retiring from football

Can I Get Access to Crystal Palace Hospitality with a Membership?

While Palace Membership doesn’t help you get CPFC Hospitality tickets, it does give you access to exclusive discounts on matchday hospitality packages.

Buying Crystal Palace Tickets without a Membership

Waiting for Crystal Palace tickets to hit general sale is probably not a viable strategy. Only a couple of games a season are sold this way—the rest of the time you will absolutely need a Palace Membership if you want to buy tickets directly through the club.

But Crystal Palace Membership is not the be all and end all of watching CPFC matches. First off, the secondary market is another way to go, with guaranteed tickets from a choice of trustworthy marketplaces. So if the M23 Derby is coming up, and you absolutely need Crystal Palace vs Brighton tickets, you can browse the choice of seats from verified resellers on Ticket Compare.

If you want to treat yourself to the luxury fan experience, you can also browse a range of premium matchday hospitality tickets. These are sold via official resellers in partnership with Crystal Palace FC, for an extra level of peace of mind. Find out more about how to buy Premier League tickets without a membership
