An official hospitality reseller for Liverpool FC, Seat Loader offers tickets for two high-end lounges at Anfield. You can also get hold of tickets for concerts taking place at Anfield during the summer. Seat Loader has the professionalism and customer service that you would expect from an authorised reseller. Transactions are seamless, and someone is always available to answer queries. Among the minor drawbacks are the hefty booking fees.

A relative newcomer to the resale business, Seat Loader was announced as an official reseller for the new Brodies Sports Bar lounge in May 2023. To become an authorised partner, Seat Loader was subject to a complete due diligence process.

In this review we’ll take a look at all aspects of Seat Loader, from the purchasing experience to the Terms and Conditions. We’ll assess everything they do well, and take a closer look at the rare occasions that things haven’t gone smoothly for customers.

Who Are Seat Loader?

One of the biggest impacts of the large-scale expansion at Anfield is that it bolstered Liverpool’s range of match-day hospitality experiences. This is where Seat Loader comes in, serving as an official reseller for two lounges.

These are the Anfield Beat lounge in the Main Stand and Brodies Sports Bar in the new Anfield Road End. Seat Loader is also an official partner for other events taking place at Anfield. So this might be a concert during the summer, with a choice of exclusive hospitality packages.

No surprise that tickets for Seat Loader’s lounges are well above what you would expect to pay for General Admission tickets. They offer a premium experience, with superior views of the game and all kinds of perks, from complimentary drinks to surprise appearances by LFC legends.

Seat Loader’s About Us section mentions the company’s partnership with Liverpool FC as the “beginning”. So that implies that they intend to become an official reseller for other teams in the future, naturally widening their choice of tickets.

What Does Seat Loader Offer Compared to Secondary Marketplaces?

Now, the headline when it comes to Seat Loader is that they’re an official reseller. Instantly, this elevates the company above many competitors, granting them a high degree of trust. When you purchase tickets on secondary marketplaces there may be a nagging doubt about receiving tickets or getting into the stadium.

This doesn’t enter the picture with Seat Loader. The key word in much of the company’s communication is “partnership”. Seat Loader maintains a long-term relationship with Liverpool FC, so while they’re an outside company, their affiliation with the club means you can have certain expectations.

Some other official hospitality resellers are also teamed up with hotels, and require you to book a hotel room with your hospitality ticket. This isn’t the case with Seat Loader.

All the same, the company does have a list of hotel partners. As a rule, all hospitality packages include a voucher for accommodation and/or transport. This is something you have to pay for when you buy an official hospitality package, whether or not you choose to use it.

Seat Loader’s Hospitality Lounges

Seat Loader resells tickets for two lounges at Anfield, Brodies Sports Bar and The Anfield Bear.

Compared to Anfield’s finest hospitality spaces, like the upscale 1892 Lounge, history-infused Boot Room and sleek Chemistry Lounge, they are mid-level. This can be a good thing if you’re up for a less formal day out.

Both lounges cultivate a relaxed, laid-back ambience, with smart-casual dress codes, informal dining, and stylish but functional decor. Let’s take a closer look:

Brodies Sports Bar

Part of the Anfield Road redevelopment, this space offers a premium matchday experience, but with a more casual atmosphere compared to Anfield’s high-end lounges. Seating is at the front of the Upper Tier in the Anfield Road Stand. So while the view of the pitch is clear, it’s still a shortside stand, which is worth keeping in mind if you want broadcast-style views.

In keeping with the laid-back theme, Brodies Sports Bar offers complimentary street food as opposed to a multi-course meal. There are complimentary half-time refreshments, as well as a pay bar if you want more. You also get a free match programme, and can expect a visit from a Liverpool legend.

The Anfield Beat

Like Brodies Sports Bar, The Anfield Beat is a premium experience with less of an emphasis on luxury. The lounge itself has a stripped-back look, with decor paying tribute to Liverpool’s rich musical heritage. The seats meanwhile are in block L16 of the Main Stand, which is about level with the penalty area towards the Kop End.

Back in the lounge, the perks are similar to Brodies Sports Bar. There’s unreserved seating, with counter-service dining available pre-game. You get a free drink at half-time, while a cash bar is open throughout. A matchday programme is included in the price, an LFC former player will make an appearance.

The Buying Experience with Seat Loader

Purchasing tickets with Seat Loader is as smooth as you would expect from an authorised reseller. The website is well laid out, and it’s easy to select the lounge and ticket locations that are right for you.

Finding Tickets on Seat Loader

Seeing as Liverpool FC is the sole partner, it’s not like you have to navigate many fixtures. There’s a search bar on the landing page, or you can use the menu above.

We picked the home game against Chelsea in 2024-25. We opted for the Brodies Sports Bar Gold Ticket, and there’s a clear seat plan, showing where in the Anfield Road End these seats can be found.

Clicking on the package gives you extra details about its various benefits. Note that in this case the ticket is in your name, which isn’t always the case with resold tickets.

Next you get the option to book a hotel room. Thankfully this isn’t tied into this package, but as a rule accommodation/transfers are baked into the cost of a hospitality ticket, as we’ll explain later.

And then you reach the payment screen, with a 15-minute countdown to secure your tickets.

Throughout, notice the chat icon in the bottom right-hand corner of the screen. It’s one aspect of Seat Loader’s ever-present customer service.

Testing Seat Loader’s Customer Service

To check their customer service, we emailed Seat Loader with a query about how they combine football tickets with accommodation.

The response was almost instant, and very detailed, especially given the short turnaround.

Seat Loader’s Accommodation Policy

It’s set in stone that all packages offered by official hospitality resellers have to come with accommodation or travel as part of the package.

So we’re wondering, if you do opt for accommodation, are you getting a good deal with Seat Loader? The answer is perhaps not.

Seat Loader charged us £480 for a two night stay in a double room at the Novotel Liverpool Paddington Village.

Going through the hotel’s umbrella company, Accor, the equivalent room was between £322 and £388 for the same stay, depending on extras (breakfast, free cancellation, payment method).

A quick search on Booking.com gave us a price of between £358 and £458, also depending on the same choices

The benefit of rolling accommodation into the package is mostly about convenience. However, if you don’t mind taking the trouble to seek out better deals, it’s worth your while to accept a voucher for travel, and book your accommodation separately.

Seat Loader’s Booking Fees

The listed ticket price was £525, which makes the booking Fees (including tax) of £94.50, for a £619.50 total a little hard to swallow. We had a click around, and found that this fee 18% is standard for all of the tickets we checked, although it may be dynamic depending on other factors such as demand.

So how do Seat Loader’s fees compare to other official hospitality resellers? Other brands like P1 Travel and Circuit Hospitality pride themselves on not charging “Hidden Fees”, but will incorporate fees into the ticket price rather than adding them to the transaction at checkout.

With some extra research, the same package on rival Liverpool hospitality sites came to £569 (Circuit Hospitality) and £508 (Club Sports and Events). That is significantly cheaper than Seat Loader’s price of £619.50.

At the same time, you get what you pay for, and these fees go towards details like customer service, ensuring that the experience is as smooth as possible. One thing’s for sure, they were extremely prompt when we got it touch with a query.

Seat Loader Terms and Conditions

Seat Loader’s Terms and Conditions are easy to find on their website. We would highly recommend browsing this page before going ahead with a purchase.

“13.2 Refunds All purchases are final. Seat Loader will not offer a refund unless an event is cancelled and not rescheduled. A credit note can be issued, at Seatloaders discretion, to put towards a future purchase. A credit note cannot be used on the same fixture.”

An issue that comes up repeatedly among customers who purchase resold tickets is the absence of refunds. As you can see, the only time you’re entitled to a refund is if a fixture or event is cancelled and not rescheduled.

“Seat Loader source tickets for sold-out events, there will be occasions when the specific location of the ticket you have purchased is not available, and on this rare occasion a credit note will be issued for the difference between the tickets purchased and tickets provided if there is a difference at all.”

It’s surprisingly common for people to purchase resold tickets to discover that they’re not sitting where they expected. Seat Loader comes off well in this regard, and does offer to provide a credit note for the difference, if there is one.

“14. Delivery. This section covers delivery methods and time scales. We guarantee that tickets will be delivered before kick-off. In some cases, tickets can be delivered on the day of the event. We use recorded delivery methods including Royal Mail Special Delivery, UPS, DHL and private courier.”

When you’re dealing with ticket resellers, it’s important to remember that the deadlines are always pretty narrow. In Seat Loader’s case, the tickets are issued by Liverpool Football within 72 hours of the match or event.

This isn’t such a concern when you’re receiving e-tickets, which is the preferred method these days. Physical tickets are almost unheard of, and you’ll most likely use an NFC (Near Field Communication) pass on your phone to get into the stadium.

Seat Loader Reviews from Other Sites

We took a look at Seat Loader’s online reputation, poring over their reviews on TrustPilot. With an average of 4.5 stars these are almost entirely positive, although given the company’s relatively small market, there aren’t many reviews to cover. Still, Seat Loader does respond to most reviews, whether positive or negative.

Seat Loader Positive Reviews

A few Seat Loader users explain that they had some doubts about using a 3rd party company. However, these were quickly eased with almost instant and helpful email and chat communication. Seat Loader receives overwhelming praise for its professionalism and efficiency, and the customer service team is a key part of that.

Many reviewers mentioned customer service members by name. This is a big positive, compared to dealing with anonymous accounts, as is common with most ticket resellers.

Having attempted to get tickets via other official partners, a few reviewers appreciated the fact that they weren’t obliged to buy hotel tickets as part of the hospitality package. We should point out that this is a big plus for an official hospitality reseller.

Finally, it’s worth remembering that many people using Seat Loader are getting to see Liverpool in the flesh for the first time in their lives. This experience, combined with a seamless transaction and the high-end hospitality perks, leads to glowing reviews across the board.

Seat Loader Negative Reviews

As a company with a relatively limited footprint, Seat Loader doesn’t have a lot of reviews to check out. Since negative reviews make up only 8% of a small total, there are only a few people expressing any dissatisfaction.

Still, a topic that does come up is Seat Loader’s pricing and fees. The price of resold hospitality tickets varies greatly from game to game, and depends on factors like the opponent, the team’s form, and whether it’s a midweek or weekend fixture.

Along those lines, some customers complain about booking fees. Now, additional fees are common when you buy resold tickets, and these apply to Seat Loader. What’s more, some customers complain that they feel a little misled, having selected the tickets and price they wanted, only to be hit with fees of £100+ per ticket at checkout.

Another issue is a matter that was out of Seat Loader’s hands. Brodies Sports Bar was slated to open at the start of 2023-24, but wasn’t actually ready until February 2024. Of course, this caused some disruption to the company.

Verdict

Elevated by some of the best customer service in the business, Seat Loader is a trusted source for official hospitality experiences at Liverpool FC. Every part of the transaction is a breeze, from navigating the website to having the tickets in your hand. There’s constant, helpful communication throughout to make sure a special day out goes perfectly.  One minor drawback is a sizable fee getting dropped on you at checkout. We also look forward to Seat Loader broadening their portfolio of official partnerships.
