How Long is the Waiting List for a Crystal Palace Season Ticket?

Until recently it was relatively simple to buy a Crystal Palace Season Ticket. All you had to do was register your interest before the end of the season, and you could expect to be contacted in early summer. CPFC Season Tickets would always sell out, but there was enough availability to make the waiting list negligible.

However, it’s getting harder than ever to go out at the end of a season and buy a Crystal Palace Season Ticket. This is because of the record renewal rates, with more CPFC Season Ticket holders keeping their seats than ever before.

In June 2023 the club announced that the renewal rate was 94%, and although the official numbers haven’t been released they claimed that this rate was exceeded in 2024. Combine that with heightened demand, a consequence of a decade in the Premier League, and you get a squeeze.

So How Long is the Crystal Palace Season Ticket Waiting List?

The Crystal Palace Season Ticket waiting list has grown significantly, and it has caused some shock among Eagles fans. People who join the list now may not get to the top when the tickets are renewed at the start of the summer. Instead you will need to wait at least one year, and possibly two, before you get offered a Palace Season Ticket.

How Many Crystal Palace Season Ticket holders are there?

Selhurst Park is one of those Premier League stadiums where season ticket holders dominate the crowd. The stadium can seat 25,486 fans, and 18,000 of those are CPFC Season Ticket holders. Take away around 2,500 away fans and you see how the overwhelming majority of Eagles fans on matchdays are season ticket holders.

This number may change in the future, especially with a redevelopment of Selhurst Park in the pipeline. The new capacity is estimated to be 34,000, which in theory will give people on the Crystal Palace Season Ticket waiting list a chance to get a ticket. Still, work hasn’t even begun on the Main Stand yet.

How Much Does a Crystal Season Ticket Cost?

One of the things driving the high demand is that Crystal Palace Season Tickets are still reasonably priced. The club has long been praised for the way it treats its most dedicated fans, and this is reflected in the cost of a Crystal Palace FC Season Tickets. Before the 2024-25 season Palace announced that they would be freezing the price for another season.

The cheapest adult CPFC Season Tickets cost £545, in the Whitehorse Lane or Holmesdale Lower ends, and the most expensive are £755 in the Main Stand. You can check these locations with the help of our Selhurst Park seating plan.

If you pay an extra £50 on top of the price of a Crystal Palace Season Ticket you can upgrade to a CPFC Season Ticket +, which opens up a range of perks, from the ability to share your seat with friends and family to a 72-hour priority window for additional tickets. We talk about every detail in our guide to Crystal Palace Membership.

How Do I Join the Crystal Palace Season Ticket Waiting List?

To get in the queue for a Palace Season Ticket you have to head to the club website and pay a £10 deposit that can be taken off the cost of your season ticket when you qualify. If you are unsuccessful then you will remain on the waiting list for future seasons.

Can I Spread the Cost of My Crystal Palace Season Ticket?

Yes, as with most clubs Crystal Palace allow you to pay for your season ticket in installments via the club’s Direct Debit Scheme. These are broken down into ten monthly payments, and the club has earned extra praise for making these payments interest-free.

When are Crystal Palace Season Tickets Renewed?

If you’re on the waiting list for a Palace Season Ticket the time to start paying attention is around the end of March. This is when the first of three Sale Phases begins.

From this point until mid-April CPFC Season Ticket holders have the chance to renew their seats. Phase 2, from mid-April to the end of the month, allows existing ST-holders to move their seat.

Then comes Phase 3, beginning around mid-May, and this is when fans on the waiting list can expect a call. If you qualify, your digital season ticket will be ready to download in July.

Could the Palace Season Ticket Waiting List Change?

During their decade in the Premier League, Crystal Palace have flirted with relegation several times. In 2022-23 and 2023-24 they were headed for peril before sacking Patrick Vieira and then Roy Hodgson and turning things around.

The point is that relegation is always a possibility, and this will inevitably have an impact on the demand for Palace Season Tickets. Off the pitch, a sudden price rise might also affect the demand for season tickets. This may be a necessity to cover the cost of the Main Stand redevelopment, similar to the dramatic price rises that have followed Fulham’s redevelopment of the Riverside Stand.

However, the opposite is also possible, and the waiting list could grow by several years if the club continues to improve in the league. Palace are known for their intelligent recruitment, which lifted the club to 10th place in the 2023-24 Premier League table.

Buying Crystal Palace Tickets via Resellers

Splashing out on a CPFC Season Ticket isn’t for everyone. For one thing, two years is a long time to wait for the opportunity, but there are also a lot of Palace match-goers who can only get to a handful of games a season.

Many Palace fans also fly to London specifically to watch Crystal Palace play, which causes some jeopardy as Palace Season Ticket + holders and people + Membership have a priority window to buy tickets.

So if you can’t compromise on the matches you watch, and you need guaranteed Crystal Palace tickets, the secondary market is the most viable option. Ticket Compare lists Crystal Palace tickets at a variety of price points, from reliable secondary market places or official resale agents associated with Premier League clubs
