The first thing to note is that despite the record sales in June and July 2024, Southampton FC Season Tickets went on general sale.

Those who missed out in that window could join a temporary waiting list. After the renewal period, when the club worked out how many extra tickets were available, there was a 24-hour season ticket sale for waiting list members on July 3, 2024.

Much depends on the performance of the team in the Premier League. What may surprise you is that a relegation could result in more tickets being sold.
Take for example summer 2023: In the weeks after relegation, Saints announced that they were slashing 2023/24 season ticket prices by 10%.
So, for their first season in the EFL Championship since 2011/12, Saints sold a record number of tickets before the new campaign.
After a depressing season, the club was suddenly as popular as Mick Channon around Soton.

You can be sure that if Southampton suffer relegation in 2024/25 the club will not be able to justify the current prices, and a similar discount will take place.
If the club does go down, it’s only natural that a few fans will walk away because EFL Championship football doesn’t hold the same prestige as the Premier League.
At the same time, a lot of fans will also not renew if Saints survive in 2024/25. When they came up in 2024, the club announced 4,000 new season ticket holders purchased tickets in the June window. While this sounds like good news for the club, it points to a big turnover in fans.

How Many Southampton Season Ticket Holders Are There?
Judging from the information coming out of the club, there are about 20,000 season ticket holders.
The exact figures are kept under wraps, but all evidence pointed to a dwindling total of around 17,000 at the end of Saints’ previous spell in the Premier League. Saints fans are as loyal as Matt Le Tissier, but they can only take so much.
This tally rose sharply in 2023, and then held steady after promotion to the Premier League in 2024.
