Created in 1889, Brentford are a team known for their unique style of play. The club has seen many highs and lows over the years, but are firmly back in the top flight after beating Swansea in the 2021 Championship. Brentford’s top players include Marcus Gayle, Andrew McCulloch, Kevin O’Connor and Ken Coote. Jim Towers is another Brentford hero, and was voted their best ever player in 2013. He played for The Bees from 1954 until 1961 and still holds the record for scoring the highest number of goals.

Brentford Community Stadium

Brentford’s home ground is the Brentford Community Stadium (also called the Gtech Community Stadium), where they have played since its opening in 2020. Prior to this, the club played at Griffin Park from 1904. Brentford Community Stadium is also the home of Premiership Rugby Club, London Irish, and is suitable for both association football and rugby union matches. The stadium has a capacity of 17,250, and always promises a terrific atmosphere on match days.
