Stamford Bridge opened in 1877 and was originally used by the London Athletic Club until 1905 when Chelsea took over. It has hosted England international matches, FA Cup Finals, FA Cup semi-finals, and Charity Shield games. Stamford Bridge has also been the venue for other sports including cricket, rugby union, rugby league, greyhound racing, and baseball.
