Allianz Arena Seating Plan

The home ground of FC Bayern Munich is an extraordinary venue for a football match, with a capacity for 75,024 fans in Bundesliga and Champions League football.

Some 20 years after it opened in 2005/06, the Allianz Arena is still one of European football’s great stadiums, hosting momentous matches like a semi-final at Euro 2024 and the 2025 Champions League final.

Despite supporting the most successful team in Germany, FC Bayern fans are as loud as ever, creating a thunderous atmosphere, lifted even more by the stadium’s large standing-only areas.

The Allianz Arena layout includes 13,342 standing spaces, all of which are behind the goals in the north stand and the famous Südkurve to the south.

What Are the Stands at the Allianz Arena?

The four stands in the Allianz Arena seating plan are the West Stand (West), North Stand (Nord), East Stand (Ost) and South Stand (Süd), all with an upper, middle and lower tier.

Although the stands are all part of the same bowl, each one has a completely different character and atmosphere, as we’ll show:

The West Stand at the Allianz Arena

The most prestigious stand at Bayern Munich is dominated by a mix of corporate seats and matchday hospitality.

Checking the Allianz Arena seating plan, these premium spots include the seats with the best views in the stand, from Block 102 to 105 in the lower tier and from Block 201 to 213 in the middle tier.

Bayern Munich's Business Club takes up a large proportion of these seats, with a capacity for 2,000 fans across the middle tier.

As the Haupttribüne or Main Stand at the Allianz Arena, the West Stand also features many of the stadium’s facilities. The press club is here, along with the dugouts, while the TV cameras are located in the middle tier of this stand.

Lastly, the upper tier commands a spectacular view of the pitch, especially on the halfway line in Blocks 303 and 304.

Contrasting with the rest of the stand, the upper tier in the west stand, from Block 301 to 307, as well as 348, is made up mainly of general admission seats.

The North Stand at the Allianz Arena

On the shortside, the North Stand features several of the Allianz Arena’s hospitality boxes, which are in a row at the top of the middle tier. Among these spaces are the Franz Beckenbauer Lounger, the EventBox and the Presenterbox.

Away supporters are located in the upper tier of the North Stand at the Allianz Arena. This section is from Block 347 to 340, comprising the high north-west corner of the stadium.

In the Bundesliga, away allocations can be as much as 7,500, 10% of the stadium’s capacity, so it’s not unusual in these games and the DFB-Pokal cup for extra seating to be given to away fans in Block 242 to in the middle tier.

Naturally, having thousands of visiting supporters brings extra energy to an already noisy stadium. In the North Stand there are also 4,006 standing spaces for home fans in a part of the ground called the Nordkurve.

Those standing sections can be found in Blocks 126 to 128 and 133 to 134, in the lower tier by the corner flags.

One of the stadium’s two immense scoreboards hangs down from the roof in the middle of the stand. Away fans sitting in the upper tier, Block 340 may find that their view is restricted by this screen.

The East Stand at the Allianz Arena

The eastern longside stand in the Allianz Arena seating plan offers sensational views of the pitch. Unlike the West Stand, the East Stand is made up almost entirely of general admission seats, as opposed to corporate and matchday hospitality.

One exception is Block 120, with seating for the futuristic Säbener Lounge, which features a high-res LED wall.

Blocks 239 to 232 in the middle tier are some of the best seats in the stadium, with perfect sightlines of the scoreboards, dugouts, and players’ tunnel.

Watching FC Bayern matches on TV, you may have noticed the giant white ‘T’ formed by supporters near the pitch towards the north end of the East Stand.

In Blocks 124 and 125, 58 tickets are awarded to brand ambassadors for Deutsche Telekom, Bayern Munich’s main shirt sponsor.

Usually comprising employees of the company who have been awarded tickets, these fans dress completely in white to stand out from the supporters around them.

When it comes to noise levels, the East Stand has a strong atmosphere, but it will be even louder at the south end near the legendary Südkurve and the north end where the away supporters sit.

Finally, the East Stand contains a few key stadium attractions, including the FC Bayern Museum and the FC Bayern Store.

The South Stand at the Allianz Arena

The southern shortside stand at Bayern Munich has a special place in the culture of the club. Blocks 109 to 117, in the lower tier of the Allianz Arena map, are home to the Südkurve, the home of Bayern Munich’s liveliest supporters.

The name Kurve, or Curve, comes from the club’s old Olympic Stadium, which had an oval layout because of a running track.

As soon as the stadium was built in 1972, FC Bayern’s younger and noisier fans chose the southern curve behind the goal where the cheapest seats could be found.

More than 50 years later the Südkurve is a byword for the club’s most committed fans. The entire section, holding 9,336 fans, is standing only. This is something to keep in mind if you’re in search of a more relaxed match experience or want clear views at the Allianz Arena.

Fans here will sing at the top of their lungs for 90 minutes, waving giant flags and bringing an infectious energy to the rest of the stadium.

The fan groups based in the Südkurve will also work together to produce massive tifos—extraordinary visual displays before the match. Often commemorating big dates or important players, these spectacles take up all three tiers in the South Stand.

As the other of the Allianz Arena’s scoreboards is located in the South Stand, some seats in Block 315 in the upper tier may have restricted views.

Where Is the Best Place to Sit at the Allianz Arena?

The East Stand: For the Best Views at the Allianz Arena

The halfway-line blocks in the longside stands are ideal for anyone who wants the kind of perspective you might get on TV.

For our money the very best general admission seats are in the East Stand, in Blocks 121-122, 230-231 and 327, 328.

From here you can also appreciate the spectacle of the Südkurve from a comfortable distance.

The South Stand: For the Best Atmosphere at the Allianz Arena

If you want to sit among the Bayern Munich ultras, the Südkurve is the place to be. In Blocks 109 to 117 there will be nonstop singing, a sea of flags, and occasionally awe-inspiring tifos that extend across the whole of the South Stand.

The North Stand: For Families at Bayern Munich Matches

The seats directly behind the goal in Blocks 129 to 132 of the North Stand belong to FC Bayern’s Kids Club zone. Seats in this area will tend to have more families than other parts of the stadium.

There’s also no standing in these blocks, so younger fans won’t have their view blocked by other supporters.
